Looks like a system is moving in Sunday with 5-6 ft swells and 20 mph winds. I've stopped caring now, I can't do anything about anything. The ball left my hand 30 weeks ago, can't change the direction of it now. Here's hoping for your sake that the water is calm. He's been excited about the bike and also feels really under prepared. Are we talking about Jesse or Darren
BTW and chance of you getting out to see The World Mountain Running Championship? It's on the 12th |

Member 2689 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees 2015.3 CLOSED (or Poptarts? Pet pics?) Oh, heck. I'm so dreadfully far behind, I don't think I'll ever catch up. I'm going to have to set aside a week just to catch up on RR's! And yeah yeah, I know, I still need to do one for the tri a couple of weeks ago. I'm such a slacker. Things are going absolutely bonkers at work so I haven't had time to come swim much with y'all lately. I did a quick scan of the last few pages and I think I saw a new Manatee with questionable references jump in (welcome, Laura! ), Stacey suffering in some not-so-comfy shoes, Salty kicking azz, TJ at a boring conference, Darren doing silly last-minute pre-IM strength-sapping activities, and some pretty waterfalls (I don't know whose those were - Erin? Salty?). Sheesh. I miss all the fun as you whip through the pages. Anyway, carry on carrying on. Just don't go all archive on me before I get back. |

I want to do this for real. Right now I'm swimming a lot, riding mostly to the farmer's market on my city bike, and power walking. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here! Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees 2015.3 CLOSED (or Poptarts? Pet pics?) Proof of life post. Start of school is always crazy. Plus I was home from Denmark for 1 week, then went away again for 4 days. Unfortunately tweaked my knee getting on to a bike for a fun ride so can't run right now. Also, we lost our oldest Staffie on Tuesday. He was almost 12 and developed symptoms of a brain tumour in the past month or so (in hindsight). Became weak and wobbly about 10 days ago, I took him for a Neuro consult and they thought it could be a disc in his neck or possibly intracranial. But over the next 5 days it became very obvious it was brain: circling, getting lost in corners, whining. So we made the decision to let him go. RIP Proton "Canadian Champion Araidh Atlantic Starr" Welcome to the new podmate. I hope you aren't scared off yet! |

So, so sorry on the loss of Proton. It sucks. And, sorry about your knee. That's no good either! |

Plus I was home from Denmark for 1 week, then went away again for 4 days. Unfortunately tweaked my knee getting on to a bike for a fun ride so can't run right now.
