February is in the books and I'm burning that book.  Looking forward to a stronger, healthier March and more daylight.

I've been back and forth between NB and Asics since college.  Currently running in Asics 2140's; closing in on 300 miles in them.

David--I'm digging the new avatar!

So far there is no one racing this weekend! Anyone?  I am liking the shoe convsation.  I feel like we have all really thought about the type of shoe we need based on our pronation and past injury history.  Good stuff.

Run:9h 23m 44s  - 40.3 Mi
Swim:2h 53m 56s  - 6250 Yd
Hiking:1h 00m
Snowshoeing:2h 30m

Not the best month training wise, but I did finish a beach marathon in a thunder storm! I also got to spend some time with my kids and grandson who live much too far away. So, despite the low training numbers it was a fantastic month.

February's totals:
Bike:10h 15m  - 212.5 KM
Run:8h 13m 41s  - 74.61 KM
Swim:

5h 30m  - 12600 M

My big accomplishment was getting back training! And slowly, slowly starting to like it again.

I run in Brook Glycerine 9's. I wear custom orthotics, so I always have to find something that feels good with them in it. Oh and I need something BIG.

Increase in both bike and run, but swim was about 1000yd less than January, BUT 2 hours less. So that means I'm wasting less time in the pool and being more focused.

Bit of a run focus....6.5 weeks to go.  Big focus on staying uninjured.  No racing this weekend for me...but Track starts this weekend for Zach.  If he can pull his Chemistry grade up, he'll race the 1 mile and the 2 mile.

Wife getting her Coast to Coast Medal at Disney World.  It was a girls trip and the three of them were all dressed like this.  They had way to much glitter and WAY to much fun to be running a half.  2 of them PR'd and wifey was just seconds away.

First lesson today with the swim coach (who is also my cousin).  She said my form was not good enough yet to go fast .  There goes that theory.  Focused today on closing "holes".  I hadn't heard that before, something else to worry about.  Great workout though.

Kim and Linda - at the same time?  really?

Not much to brag about here...

February's totals:
Bike:1h 00m  - 16.5 Mi

Run:

Flying:

3h 12m  - 22.5 Mi

47h 00m - 44,246 Mi

Didn't even get in the skiing that I normally get - but that was more due to the crappy winter then the travel.

Hitting the trainer tonight so March can come in like a lion!

Not a term I had heard of either.  It may been just a way to explain it as I looked at her with a confused look on my face.  I am not as flexible as I would like to be so apparently I am not getting a straight extension.  She said I am not lifting my head but I am dropping my shoulder creating a hole between my shoulder, head and arm.  It is really apparent when I was doing my kick drills on my side with one arm extended.  It was not my only form issue, just the one that was new!!

Trevor - the girls were on a roll.  I kind of wanted to see where it was going to go
