Speaking of thanksgiving American thanksgiving signals Black Friday and cyber Monday doesn't it. Can someone let me know what date that is? Also what's on your list to get for a bargain this year? So far for me is maybe a Garmin Forerunner 15

yes, black friday is the day after thanksgiving and cyber monday the monday after.  Thanksgiving is 11/27 this year.

Can one (or more) of you helpful Manatees tell me what I need to do to allow BT and Garmin to auto sync?  I know there was a discussion about it not too long ago, but I can't find it and, happily, I have something to log

DS2 made an interesting observation yesterday. We are doing the RnR HM on the eve of his birthday and I am doing the Colorado Marathon on the eve of my birthday. He said I'm a show-off

Devastating news here over the weekend.

A local triathlete got knocked off his bike and killed and the person who did it didn't stop just kept driving and left him there. Thankfully other motorist stopped to help him but they weren't able to save him. It was broad daylight, he was wearing bright colours apparently very easy to see and obeying all the road rules.

They caught the driver and they have charged him with:
Dangerous driving causing death
Failing to stop
Failing to render assistance
Failing to report an accident
Refusing a breath test and a couple of other things

OMG not another one WTH is wrong with people?!

on a happier note, YAY TJ!

I ran the Hartford half this weekend in 55 degrees and pouring rain. Running wasn't so bad - it was stopping that sucked. 4 minute PR so I can't really complain

I'm having some tendonitis issues so between that and "off season" I'm lacking motivation to do anything but eat and watch TV. Guess I have to get it out of my system now anyway, right? HEH

Hope everyone has a good week.

RR OUT

Happy news to report... TONY GOT A JOB!!!

I'm just going to copy and paste from my FB post...

I'm SOOOOO proud of my hubby! To be blunt, Tony's just freakin' aweome, and I know that he'll be riding the high of having a new job for a while, even if he will be the new, green guy on the scene. The joint just won't be the same with all the travel he'll be doing, but I'm sure I'll find some way to pass the time - maybe some weeding in the garden if we ever get this house to come together?

YAY!!!  He IS freakin' awesome and it's super that his new employer agrees.  What a relief.  That'll definitely help with the house financing too.  Is it with the MJ business/ag magazine?  If so and he comes to CO, it'd be fun if you could come along so we could meet in person.  Plus, you "weeding" in the garden would be most appropriate.

Winner!!!  Yep, that's the gig that he got and his first trip is going to be to Vegas for some sort of convention... but I'm sure that his travel schedule is going to take him to CO sometime soon and I'm definitely gonna try to go to that one... MANATEE MEET-UP!

Is anyone's Garmin Connect not syncing with Strava this week?  I have a couple rides that didn't drop in, but that hit TP and BT.

So far so good. How long did you give it to sync?

It hadn't synced after more than a day.  But after I dropped in a swim last night it synced all three workouts.  Weird.

Ha! Haven't had a delay like that yet. Just a few minutes for some. Think usually a bike workout. Not so surprising as those tend to be bigger. Good thing it showed for you!

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
