It's made out of energy bars, Gu, and shot blox, so it must be healthy!

its amazing what is appealing in the middle of a long training session that is in no way appealing at any other time.

I'd hit it.

I'm perhaps not the most discriminating connoisseur, though. Also, five Pop Tarts with two glasses of milk would get me there.

I think they definitely could have coordinated the various flavors better. Vanilla goes with everything, but to really make that sandwich work, they need PB or Oatmeal bars, strawberry Shot Blox, PB Gu or Strawberry Clif Shot (depending on bar flavor), etc. Maybe I'll put one in an IM special needs bag.

Yuck, just yuck! Unchewable and unswallowable, for starters. (I have never sucessfully gotten down a Shot Block, even when hiking, much less biking or running at race effort.)  And there appears to be no dark chocolate anywhere in this concoction. Just not worth eating.

A funny read but a most inedible concoction they made there.  1200 calories for a 5K.  Funny.

And I was thinking small with my PB&J idea;

Two Honey Stinger energy waffles, 320 cal

Peanut Butter Gu gel 100 cal

Any berry-flavored Gu gel, 100 cal

So the PB&J energy sandwich comes in at only 520 cal, surprisingly the same as a Quarter Pounder with Cheese!  But the source of those calories is a lot different.

Ian: The only way to get through this is to Gallow-eat it. One minute of chewing followed by 4 minutes of eating something else.

Blythe: Now I have intestine splints.

Classic!
