I was able to export all my BT data to .csv, but intervals.icu doesn't seem to be able to read it. For anything back to about mid-2013, I was able to sync from Garmin and/or Strava through intervals.icu (you have to pay their $12/quarter contributor fee to go back that far). Earlier than that and any manually entered data in BT I have to recreate one activity at a time. Copy and paste is my friend. I also tried taparink or whatever that service is called to move data from BT to Strava but that doesn't work. Intervals.icu has an open AI interface, so in theory someone could write a script to do it, but that's beyond my IT expertise. |

Yeah, I was able to sync from Strava back to 2014, but that was the earliest my strava data went, so I was hoping to do 2007 to 2013 from BT exports. I didn't know you have to pay $12/quarter for the earlier entries. I've been playing around in intervals with the data I've entered, and it looks like they have some interesting stuff. I'm really gonna miss BT though. They have some things that intervals doesn't. :-( |

Champion 5498![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Whizzzzzlandia | Subject: RE: Last Chance to Save BeginnerTriathleteQuick Question to Alice... wondering if you have a date certain for lights out here? And also wondering if the training logs will still be accessible but not update-able or will everything be lost in its entirety? This will inform my decision of whether or not I try to export 21 years of diary and data or if I leave it archived here and just start over someplace else. I am in a period of mourning quite frankly. This stupid little website changed my life. So many of my BEST FRIENDS and even my HUSBAND sprang from this little place. Triathlon changed everything for me, made me the person I am today, and completely changed the trajectory of my life. Countless races, 4 IMWIs and endless cycling. It created both a hobby and a lifestyle and enabled me to chase unlikely adult athletic success, created personal growth, and infused me with confidence. All I can say is THANK YOU. <3 |

I made lots of real life friends here. I also still enjoy following blogs of those still here. I wish this was not happening but I don't think that will change the reality that it is. |

Master 8253![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Eugene, Oregon | Subject: RE: Last Chance to Save BeginnerTriathleteI put this down in site support but realized not many will see it, so pasting it here as well. I especially want to thank Alice for maintaining this site through years of massive change in the world and the sport, as well as so many at BT who offered me support. I have years of training on here (I think since 2011? 2010?) and lots and lots of races (2011-2025, I think every year, except the pandemic. And I didn't even log them all--sometimes if they don't go well, I don't have the heart to revisit them!) I will miss this site. It's a shadow of its former self now, but back in the day, it was a godsend. I got into triathlon when I was living and working in Vietnam. For much of the first seven years I was in the sport, I was only one of a few competitive triathletes in the country; months could go by without my meeting another athlete in person. I coached myself until (I think) 2016, so pretty much everything I learned about the sport came from this site. That brought me from a clueless beginner to someone who's podiumed in multiple 70.3's (and one full Ironman), competed in three world championships (albeit not very successfully--I seem to be cursed at those events!), and qualified for a couple more (that I didn't race due to not being able to get leave). I cherish the online camaraderie, encouragement, and advice that the site provided me in those years; especially, I'd like to thank Alice for keeping the site running for so long, and everyone else who supported me in my triathlon journey. If anyone's ever at Oregon 70.3, most years I'll probably be there, as long as I'm able! Say hi! Karen (currently in W55-59, with a purple bike, hot pink aero helmet, and fuscia/orange/purple race suit--I'm pretty noticeable!) |

For those of you migrating to intervals I'm going to create a group for us - I need someone to let me know their username there so I can create it. |

Go to your Training Log, and click on the calendar to December 31st, then start navigating backwards using the "Show More" button at the bottom of the blog list. Once you get to the amount you want in one file (I'm doing a year at a time), click on Save Page As in your browser and save as an HTML web page. Remember to keep the directory structure intact. When you open the save web page, you get formatted versions of your logs. You can't report on manipulate the data, but HTML is searchable. It's really important to do this if you've utilized the strength training sets/reps/weights....those don't save to the Excel file. |
