I will do this once in my lifetime.

I missed out on a race near Dallas, as I went to cheer on my boyfriend at his tri that day.

And, another BTer was going to be there. Not sure I'm too keen on the idea of another person I know, as a friend, seeing me nude.

I have no problem with being nude anywhere, but running or biking without a jock on is painful. I'm not bragging, just admitting I've tried it. I've never gotten aroused during a triathlon, no matter how nice a lady-tush I might be following. There's not enough blood to keep the zeppelin inflated and SBR.

I would do it if you can wear shoes and if my Mom & sisters weren't racing.

Only things I probably wouldn't do nude are Polar Bear swim or snowboard.

Aren't there any UMich grads here?! Holy cow!! No one has run the naked mile?! I wasn't even a student and I ran it. I have NEVER run a faster mile than that day. The whole course was lined with people 5-10 deep to watch. Funny as hell. Trust me, when you're running naked in front of THOUSANDS of on-lookers, you're not feeling any pain. The body adapts...

I highly recommend running naked.

For the men out there, wouldn't it be difficult to rotate fully? I mean I'd feel like a sailboat with a keel.

Nope. No way. I'm not a prude, nothing against nudity, but I have my own body image issues + only 1 testicle. I'm not going to run without some form of support, and the idea of possibly damaging my major source of testosterone doing a stupid nude run and having to take testosterone injections from now on - no thank you.

Nude sunbathing, or lounging in a hot tub/pool - fine, but I'm putting on a pair of running shorts with support if I'm running.

I think duct tape is allowed.

I have (see race report) and would again (although wife is not happy about it).  It was actually fun and the floppage was not bad at all either.  After about 10 minutes you kind of got used to everyone walking around naked.


That was the funniest race report I have ever read.

Been there.  Done that.  We had weekly naked training runs as a XC team (Men & Women) on Thurs nights before meets my last two years of college.

Also, there was a naked bell run challenge there as well.  You stripped in front of the men's or women's dorms (furthest public points on campus from the bell) save your running shoes, drank a beer, ran to the bell, rang it, and ran back.  You didn't get you clothes back until the bell could be heard at the dorm from where you started.  If it was determined the bell was heard, you drank another beer and did it again.  Fun times!

20 years ago?  Running from the cops after skinny dipping in the pool and other sorts of fun stuff - sure.   But race?   Nope - never had sporty boobs.

Usually only Drunk at 11pm because I told my GF I would do that long run with her and didn't want to let her down, I guess the warm evening got to me.

5K? I'm up for it. Not like another runner is going to think you're silly...

I was planning on a 5K at a local nudist "resort" but had to deploy with my unit. I once was paid to streak a highschool reunion at a swanky hotel in Tampa. That was more of a sprint distance.
