Hmm, everyone I talked to said to skip it after doing IM Moo, so I didn't register even though my brother-in-law is running it and I would love to do it with him to experience his pain in person.

Oh well, it is probably best to actually recover from an IM before doing anything else long.

Three of us did it after Moo last year. We all lived through it, but let's just say it was a less than pleasant experience.

My wife and I are both doing TCM.  It is really the only race that I'm doing this year that I care about as far as results go, so needless to say I'm pretty excited about it.

I have a guaranteed spot in the 10-miler, maybe I'll see some of you at the finish.  Hope the weather is better this year...

I am in for it this year...hopefully I can log all the miles that I need to in order to hit the goal time that I am working towards!

I also hope that it will be nicer this year...maybe 60-65 and sunny, no wind...is that too much to ask???

I'd prefer something like 55 and west winds at 30 mph

what can I say.. im a glutton for punishment...  nothing is certain about next year for me.. so I decided I may give it a whirl... three weeks isn't long enough to recover huh...

It may be, but I am running Grandma's as a training run, and I didn't really see a purpose to running TC just to run it if I was going to be coming off an IM and a three-week "taper."

about a month to go until TCM.  My training is a bit behind right now, but my goals are modest.   A few 5K races for speedwork and 2 long runs in sept, then it's showtime.  Hope everyone is healthy and training well.

Knees are hurting, and at this point I am just hoping to finish at about a 10 minute mile pace. My left knee finally started to bark at me after my long run on Sunday. I had just been dealing with some annoying pains in the metatarsil area, and some issues with the right knee inside tendon. I am mainly planning on getting the finishers stuff, and just being able to say I did it. It will be years before I do this again. Motivation is waining. I could have put this hundred dollars toward a new bike.

I'm not so sure about this marathon training thing.  Concentrating all my efforts on running is REALLY wearing me down.  Rest week this week then 3 tough weeks and I'll be ready.

On the plus side though all this running produced a 3+ minute PR at the half marathon I did last weekend, so at least I'm making progress.

I'm in for the 10 Mile. Won't be fast, but I just may get through it without too much pain and that would be a first!
