Pre-race routine:

Arrived via Peggy and picked up registration packet. Found Phil and his lovely boys and later the rest of the donks came piling in. Put my fuel belt on.
Event warmup:

Well, I jumped up and down alot while waiting for the portypotty! Plus I took a Cliff Shot and got out literally just in time for the start.

Comments:

IT WAS FRICKEN COLD!!
Well, they say don't do anything new on race day....eh?....rules were made to be broken! Bought a fuel belt, wore it. Bought some Cliff Shots, ate them. Oh and let me tell ya there was a party in my mouth cuz the Cliff Shots were flavor: Margarita with Salt........yummy! I guess I can't complain too much! I focused hard on watching my form: head up, arms relaxed and cautious of my foot strike. Too bad after 10 mile, all I wanted to do was finish and I slacked and it shows in my time....oh well. I had a whole crew of donks cheering me on as I finished! THANKS!! :)
What would you do differently?:

Probably train more and pray for warmer weather or atleast no rain!!
Post race
Warm down:

Ate snacks in the tent and wasn't able to get a medal cuz they ran out....no fear one shall be delivered! Was super excited to eat some Lasagna and suck down some beers. Chowed down but the beer was not as appealing as I probably hyped it up to be?! Oh well.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

uh?..ME :)

Event comments:

THANKS SO MUCH TO THE DONKS THAT CHEERED ME ON AS I FINISHED!! IT MEANT ALOT TO ME!! :)

NIce to meet you as well.  Sorry, I couldn't stay around and chat/drink a little longer, but I was sick and didn't feel it was fair to get everyone else sick
