I'm a bank examiner for the Treasury Dept. I travel alot, but luckily there is usually a YMCA close by with a pool. Training while traveling helps to keep me from missing home too much.

Well, my life seems pretty plain compared to others on this board.

I am currently a corporate lawyer focusing on banking issues, mergers and acquisitions, general business and dabbling in bankruptcy/creditor's rights issues.  I can usually make time for training either before or after work (sometimes both).  No wife/significant other, no kids, just a newer house and a stubborn dog.

I'm a relative "noob" (as the kids say) to training (training for 4+ weeks) and BT (one day).

Previous life I was a Naval Officer but as of last year I'm in Medical Device sales and I work with Radiologists and Breast Surgeons in the detection and treatment of breast cancer.  I train for tri mostly at night which means I am hating this winter short day thing.  I do live in LA though so at least we have good weather to ride, run and swim all year.  No kids and wife works late so it helps in that she is not always concerned about me not being "home by 6".

President and CEO of the American subsidiary of a Fortune 500 foreign company.  I spend a lot of time traveling so I end up having to train a lot in Hotel gyms!  (I have learned all the right questions to ask about the facilities before booking a room though)  My assistant knows not to book me a hotel without a pool!

I live a quiet life as a landscape maintance tech. for a local University.
I have had several careers, police officer, door manufacturing, home healthcare DME service, construction, and flipping houses. We are currently in our twelfth house in 24 years.
With my oldest is to be married next year and our other son is a rascal of 15 who thinks parents are aliens and doesn't want to be around us. So my wife and I are adjusting to a house to ourselves.

I train early mornings, 4:30-5:00'ish it can be bitter in the winter and stiffeling in the summer.

I rarely travel. ( I can't afford it) although I can easily find the time.

I love playing the guitar, violin, and mandoline although I'm not very good.

And I hope you are all with a loved one during the holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm currently the charge nurse in a local Intensive Care Unit and a refugee from multiple nursing management & administration positions.  I also spend some time each week as a health & wellness coach and doing some business coaching.  I also spend a TON of time messing around on BT.

Great thread...I've learned a lot about some of my BT friends.

Full time student, part time respite care, and, up until a month ago, a live in nanny.  I decided that 80+ hours a week was too much and left the family that I had lived with the past 3 years.

I just finished my first semester as a PhD student and I work as a baker to pay for school.  I'm still trying to figure out how to balance study, work, training, and sleeping.  Not to mention socializing.

im a reluctant stay at home mom of three fabulous boys, ages 12, 9 and 6.

but admittedly being home provides me w a TON of flexibility to train.

im a psychotherapist by 'trade'....toying w the idea of getting a certification in sports psychology to keep me occupied.

other than that, i have a VERY easy-going, supportive husband who does a lot to help out around the house and w the kids so that i can train.  god bless him.
