Here are the LION 'MOTIVATORS' in the pre-race staging area...

If I am in this race, then I am all for walkers.  LOTS of walkers!

Yup... if you see all Kenyans around you, you are screwed

just kick them in the knee cap, before you start,, you just have to out run one person

is this it??

"I laughed I cried... it was better than Cats"

I thought that's what we were discussing.

Where is the website that this topic came from?

I like Pearl Izumi gear.

Nuts, I thought I had the winning post to go over 10.

Since you asked... http://www.saverun.org/

I'd just like to say for the record that I'm not posting anything ever again that might even be remotely controversial.  Just kidding - maybe just one/quarter  Wink

It's been fun, the Anchorman quotes were definitely a highlight... as well as the lap discussion from page 9.

Just trying to stay on topic.  Hmmm... nope, I don't see any walkers

Racing Kenyans in Kenya amidst loose carnivorous beasts was not the only race-day challenge the Americans encountered. Jet lag, high altitude, scorching heat and rocky hills all contributed to slower than usual race times and kept PRs to a minimum for the U.S. entourage

"The old joke around the campfire was that you didn't have to outrun lions during the race, just the runner behind you," said Thom Gilligan, president of Marathon Tours and Travel and the group leader. "Truth is, most of the runners were actually hoping for an animal encounter."

You think that the 210 pound me couldn't tackle, punch, and leave behind a beaten 135 pound Kenyan?  I mean, I'm not going to outrun him!

Hey, this individual was walking in the lion race I guess???

When the lion gets to the finish line, she'll say, "I walked a couple of the zebra stops, but other than that, I ran the whole thing."

Zebra eats cowboy. Lion eats zebra. It's just the circle of life.
