To know what she's like, read this account of when she did IMNZ with a broken hip ... http://www.phoenixtriathlonclub.org/uploads/Hillary_Biscay_and_Mortality.pdf Very few (even pro) triathletes train harder or compete in more Ironmans than she does ... she is the most HTFU person I know ... Last year she did back-to-back Roth, next weekend IMLP ... A month later she did back-to-back IMKY and then IMWI ... and WON IMWI ... I'm nobody. I'm peanuts. She's Michael Jordan and I play pick-up on weekends (comparatively). But she cares about me and what my tri and life are like ... She thought of me when she had a bunch of extra gear ... especially since I'm freshly jobless and heartbroken (YES I'M SINGLE  ) ... and she sent it all to me! A TON of gear--most of it is new, some of it is old stuff b/c she changed sponsors, but tons of running skirts, running shorts, tri tops, cycling jerseys, gloves, 3 pairs of bike/tri shoes, a dozen caps and visors, bike gloves, bathing suits ... you name it. |

I remember getting a call on our unpublished phone from an ex-gf from like 15+ years previous a year ago. That was weird. Sorry to hear about your job, but hopefully the new tri gear will keep you out of trouble for a while !!

We taught together at USC. She inspired me to get into triathlon. Oh no, definitely not her last Ironman ... she's got quite a season planned ... she just finished the hellhole that was IM China ... next up is IM Lanzarote in late May ... then IM Japan in late June ... |
