Subject: Tri friends are the best-but a question about HED 3'sRacing a sprint this weekend, haven't really been giving it my best training effort, but I feel pretty prepared. I rode the bike course yesterday at a good effort on the second half (mostly downhill ), and felt good about where I am on the bike. But, there are a couple of ticks of speed to be gained still. Just got an email from a training partner this morning, in regards to the race (he's not racing, just coming out to spectate ): "hey, if you want to use my HED 3’s you certainly can. As Paul would say…”Free Speed” Plus you would look really cool." I am jumping at the chance to ride on these wheels. However, the course uses a county park with 4 speed bumps in it. The race director is installing 4 ramps on the front side of each bump, but nothing on the backside. These things are about 4" tall. Will I be buying my friend a new set of HED 3's at the end? I weigh about 145, and I've heard HEDs are pretty bombproof. |
