I'm in for the half for the first time in four years (due to back surgery) and really excited to get back to tradition!

I literally registered 5 minutes ago. Damn my spontaneous racing mindset....

I did the half last year and had fun with it, though I was completely unprepared and got hurt. This time around, with a bit more running under my belt, I hope to be able to finish strong so that the rest of my day will be a constant "eat, sleep" cycle

I am in ... for my first. I volunteered for the race in 2006 as a way to give back/fulfill my volunteering "obligation" but this is my first time actually doing the race.

I am in for the full--my 3rd time running the Atlanta full. I think I have run the half 5 times. The full was my first marathon 4 years ago and the half my first race ever 11 years ago. I LOVE this race (and I hate on it a little too).

I am not so confident about this race. My training was pretty strong until October when I got ITBS bad and bronchitis and pleurisy. ITBS seems to have resolved itself and I've gotten my mileage back up and gotten some decent runs in but I now my ankle is bothering me. So I have no idea what to expect but I am really excited to get to run a marathon again. This will be my 11th in 4 years and each and every marathon I learn something new.

Good luck everyone! And thanks to Doug and Steph and anyone else awesome enough to volunteer or come cheer the runner's on.

Is water stop #4 for both half and full or full only? We ALL want to see the Brown Dog Family!

Ohhhh. I was thinking it was earlier. This is the water stop where I always stop to pee during the full. It is where Doug thought he had left me for dead but was really where I planned my attack.

If I can convince Ryan and the kids to come cheer me on I will tell them to go hang with you guys and have breakfast at the awful waffle. That way the kids can hang and you can try to convince Mr Grumpy that spectating is fun.

I am in for the half. This was my first 1/2 mary last year so wanted to come back for fun. Would like to PR but not sure if this is really the course to do it? I really wouldn't know how it compares with 1/2's from say out of state.

For the halfers: It looks like we are on the left side of the road and I think the road is divided by cones to keep the halfers away from the superior water they have saved for full marathoners. If so, swing to the left side and we'll at least cheer for you.

Uh Oh...totally got sick...started yesturday...Not sure if I am gonna be able to race...This is one of those..'Well If I do I may end up very, very sick but then again so what its off season'...Hmmm not sure what to do...man up or be practical...No fever just bad head/chest cold...
