trimom3 - 2005-06-04 7:12 PM I'm in for 150. (Will be out of town for about two weeks, so need to be realistic.) I'll pledge $20. Regarding the pledge: are we pledging to one organization (I liked the BT idea myself) or are we each selecting an organization to donate on a personal basis? Thanks for organizing this. These challenges are a good motivational tool for me.

The losing team will make a donation to the charity of the winning team's choosing (see my first post). As far as the money going to BT, Ron said thanks but no: "thanx guys...use it for a good charity though..."

Put me down for 280kms and $20 - Not sure of the mile equivalent.
I didn't ride at all last month so I am setting myself a goal.
Thank you so much to Bear for organising and for Karl and Renee being team captains!
Go GIRLS!!!!

I am in for the girls. But I need to apply for an exemption/exception! I have a 1/2 IM on June 26 which means I need to taper within the next two weeks, plus I have a sprint next weekend which will reduce my mileage. Last month I did 322. The 20% extra takes me to 386.4. With the permission of Karl, I would like to go for 350 (which I still think is a stretch given that I have to taper). Pretty please Karl? I pledge $20.

I'm in for $20 on the side of the Gear Goddesses (or whatever we're calling ourselves, just please not Women with Balls... this isn't tennis!)

I did 100 miles last month and I'm increasing my mileage slowly trying to not get injured so I'll stick with the minimum pledge of 120.  I will be on vacation for a week, but doesn't that just mean i get to ride my bike all day long?  What kind of vacation would it be if I couldn't train during it?  Sheesh.

OK...count me in.  I rode 393 last month so that makes 472 for June.  Might be a stretch since I have two races this month but what the heck...I'll give it a shot.

Thanks.

I'm in and I plege $20.

Last month I logged only time for about the first half the month and miles only part of the month since I didn't get my hubby to put on my bike computer until later in the month...so not sure where that puts me for miles last month.

I put in 200 miles if that is okay with Carl.

Another one for the ladies.... 250 miles, well over the 20% of actual time on a bike from last month. Pledge, $15.

OK, it worked great for my swimming motivation. Maybe it will help with my biking!

In May I biked a whopping 17.2 miles.
I'm pledging to bike 150 miles this month. I know it's not much, but it's so hard to get out there with the little one. Now that I have the bike trailer, we'll be taking many more rides.
A donation of $20 will be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which I already have the paperwork.

A worthy charity , to be sure, but the rules of this game say that the winning team will designate the beneficiary.

goal = 50 miles
pledge = $10

Not much on either account. I don't have much time, have work deadlines, recovering knee, kids away sports, and last but not least....not a strong rider. I'll start somewhere, and if I reach this goal...i'll be happy and able to improve. I want to keep the swimming up as well and with the good weather hopefully some OW. Last months swim challenge was so great for me.

Thank you bear for putting it together.
Thank you Renee and Karl for being captains.

Well if Chris is doing 500....JUST KIDDING!

Chris can kick my arse on the bike.

300 miles!  And $20 says I can do it!

(p.s. No sandbagging here...last month was only 230 something...I figured 20% more to be 286...and I bumped it to 300....)
