The girls' team is coached by UW Madison's head coach Mark Johnson, and at least 6 women were UW Madison alumni.  I'll be watching that game.

Very cool.  I'd love to go to a game, but tickets are kind of expensive.  Plus, driving up to DC can be a PITA.

Does anyone think skeleton is the craziest sport ever?  One mistake and you are head first into a wall of ice.  At lease with the luge, they go feet first into the ice.

I am really excited for the opening ceremony tomorrow night.  I feel so patriotic cheering for the US athletes.  Hopefully, NBC has good TV coverage!

We were just talking tonight about the opening ceremonies.  Bejing was so spectacular, it is hard to imagine topping that.  I also agree about skeleton.  Given the chance, I would LOVE to try luge or bobsled.

Word has it that Bryan Adams wrote the score of the opening ceremony and will be performing.  Also noted to possibly make an appearance sometime - Celine Dion and maybe Rush.  However, sad to say, no Bachman, Turner, Overweightdrive nor The Guess Who (since Randy Bachman is with Turner right now).

Maybe the one-hit wonders The Kings will be playing in a local pub?  Gordon Lightfoot would be interesting, but he is so old now and his voice isn't holding up.

Check out the Skier X.  I sure NBC will be promoting the h*ll out of it since it appeals to the whippersnappers and generally features lots of carnage.

Funny! They will have lots of fluff crap and every now and then actually show some competition. It does look like the hockey and curling coverage from them will be good this year.

So excited for the OC tonight.
