Travelling on a plane with pedals

Pedals should be no problem at all, even in a carry-on.  Have a good trip!

I cant see them being a real issue.

But it may be easier to put them in carry-on. Then as you go through the metal detector they can be taken out and seen and inspected. It just might save them from going through your bag to see what they are etc....

.... my dad comes up here when Im building motors, he flies in. He carrys a few specialty tools this way and it makes things way easier.

Checked is certainly not an issue, I just flew with my bike most recently end of December.  And I wouldn't carry on the pedals just in case, since I dunno, it may be a bit heavy and used as a weapon or something? Plus when going through security, I'm sure they won't know what it is and will look at it strangely and ask a few extra questions, might as well be safe and check it in. I know it's a bit different, but for my US-bound flight they wouldn't allow me to carry a kryptonite bike lock onto the plane... they forced me to check it in when going through security... and that's technically not on the prohibited list right?

You do realize that any training that takes place in Vegas is not counted right?  Because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

In your carry on or checked luggage? I've taken pedals in my checked luggage several times. I've never carried them on because if I am bringing cycling clothes and a helmet I won't have room in my carry on for that and my weeks worth of work clothes.

Like someone else mentioned, if you are carrying them on, take them out of your bag when you go through security so they can see what they without tearing apart your luggage.

pedals, shoes, and antyhing that is harder to replace/get setup personally for me is ALWAYS carried on.

Bike, shoes, pedals, gels, i carry on all the time without issues.

Given how little actual bike training I've been able to do this off season due to Snowpocalypse I and II, I am for sure going to log it!

I won't, however, log all the Blackjack training I've been doing

Travelling on a plane with pedals?  Dude, I strongly suggest you consider engine-powered.

My buddy took his on carry on and they were kind of pissed and dug them out. Of course bringing the giant pedal wrench wasn't a great idea.

I'd check them, as they are odd looking and will just be a hassle.

I'm sure you meant to say "bike shoes"...not "bike, shoes, etc". 

If not, let me know what airlines you fly on that lets you carry on your bike...
