Artemis - 2010-

07-25 11:27 AM Saw a twitter post that it started raining in LP.

it's not raining here right now... the clouds seem to be breaking up, at least near town.

That's good.

I've got the spreadsheet updated with first bike splits and some second bike splits.  I do have a question about the course.  I noticed that Dan and Chris had really fast first splits, but much slower second splits.  Does it get a lot more hilly right away?

the only extended section of downhill is in that first section - then it's either flat (hah) or climbing the rest of the way.

That makes sense with the speeds I saw at the beginning.

There is a significant climb in that portion...like 10 mile long climb I believe. Jorge can confirm.

Added run splits to the sheet.

The transition times are quirky; they come up as 3 sets, so a 5:02 t1 would look like 5:02:00.  I just use a semicolon to make it less confusing.

Fixed the formatting on that so it shouldn't be an issue anymore to use regular colons.  Also did the same for T2.

Weather updates from IMLP. Text messages sent from Whizzzz at IMLP to Kathy G who is on an island in MN (without current computer access) to Catwoman in Texas. Gotta love BT and technology.

Current Text messages show the weather conditions changing frequently.

Weather started out hot and muggy...became cold and windy... then became warm and rainy. Streets were slick for the start of the bike course. But now it is sunny and hot. Looks like rain again.....from Whizzzz

Good Look to all of the BTers and support crews. Looks like a typical IMLP weather forecast. - Catwoman

Anyone else catch brucemorgan on TV?  Nice interview!

Hoping Ben Hoffman can pull out the win, he came so close in IMSG, nice to see him take it this time.

Saw Marvarnett, Dumpster, Alaina and Fred. All finished with the bike and onto the run.

I'm back at the hotel now charging my damn phone. It's seen non stop action from start to finish today.

Everyone is looking really good so far. The second run lap will be telling, though.

Weather here is perfect for an IM race. It's a bit cool and overcast. Not raining. (Not right now at least!) It gets intermittently warm at times, but since the sun isn't beating down on the racers, it's literally perfect weather.

OK, battery is 45%. I'm heading back out when it gets charged to 50%!!!!
