To spin off of the Ruby Tuesday thread and the chain-snubbing snobs there-

Go ahead and admit it here. What's your favorite chain?

Mine is Romano's Macaroni Grill. Yeah, it's not gourmet but it's consistently good. It's the out-of-town pre-race pasta that I can count on.

Outback.

The food is consistent and the service is generally good. I like the Pecan salad and a Victoria's filet. Oh, and the sweet potato.

Local chain: Cafe Rio - Large amounts of good mexican food. I love it. Now available in six western states!

National chain: Chili's - Most consistent good food of any national chain I've been to. You can go to any Chili's anywhere and get good food.

2nd on the Red Robin with the Leaning Tower of Onion Rings!

For a fast-food restaurant, I'll go with Taco Johns (Taco Bell SUCKS!).

*I'm surprised no one stated Hooters*

Outback since I'm not a big pasta eater even before a race.. I"d rather have a steak.

Chipotle is also up there.

Five Guys is the only chain that I will consistently patronize. As someone who's been in the service industry most of his life, the awful service that you get at *all* chains is what keeps me away more so than the mediocre food.

Salsarita's and Moe's. Both alright places.

Also very rarely P.F. Changs for their attention to the Gluten Free folks.

While living in Chicago I was addicted to Joy Yee Noodles. It wasn't even so much the main courses (for a vegetarian there were only few dishes), but the fantastic cold fruit smoothies. My favourite was tarot/tapioka freeze. Who would have come up with that combination?

Flat Top Grill, we always get great service here. Not to mention you get to design your own meal.
