More fastpitch softball for me...my daughter's team is heading into day three undefeated! I haven't trained for the last few days but it actually feels nice not to think about it. Then we can get the truck packed up and hit the road. I'm racing tomorrow and we're camping near the race site tonight. I've already washed the dog, gathered sleeping bags and air mattresses, collected the necessary food, packed my transition bag and did a load of laundry. Nerves? Maybe. I hate waiting around. |

(7 mile warmup & 7 mile cooldown rides as well) Then my wife & daughter wanted to go to the pool this afternoon so I just swam laps while they did their thing. I wasn't counting but probably clocked another mile or so. tonight we have a 16 mile casual bike ride. Some night owl thing my wife signed us up for. I'll be taking my mountain bike. |

You've had an amazing day. I did a 21 mile bike ride this morning, kind of late, so it was 100 when I got home at 10:45 a.m. Ouch. But it was a really fun ride. Saw two crop dusters, and one of them buzzed me. It was a blast! Took the kiddos to see Winnie the Pooh; almost fell asleep, but they loved it, so worth it. Also purchased new running shoes today -- Saucony Grid. They feel comfy and my Achilles wasn't screaming. I won't run in them until after I see the doctor on Tuesday, but I think I'm working through this. My Achilles doesn't ache much at all any more. I hope everyone has a great evening. |
