Hello,
Kim is running her XC team and a bunch of people are at IMFL. How about the rest of us?

8:00 am - 9.5 miles of running to the beach and back.

Now it is off to work, enjoy the day.

Good luck racers!

Is there an IMFL watching thread? I can't seem to find it.

15min of yoga for me today. I may brave an OWS tomorrow, so little endurance training this month! Strange to be getting back into it, however slowly.

30 to 40 minute run and an hour on the trainer. It is freezing out this morning. Wish I was racing in Florida. Might sign up tomorrow for next year.

Little over 8 miles early today run at an easy pace. First decent run since Marine Corps last weekend. Spending the rest of the day with the kids. Can't wait to get back on the bike tomorrow.

Had a 5K race this morning. 24:30 which was a PR for me. It was a small race so that was good enough for 3rd overall and 1st in my AG. My wife was also 1st in her AG.

Got in the saddle this morning. A bit cold at first but once I got going it turned out to be a great day and a great ride. Went a tad under 40 in about 2:15.

As I am not yet fully into my winter training plan, I have been a little "all over the board for the last month", but I did get to enjoy a little over 4.5 miles with my 12 year old daughter.  Good times!

Nice 12.3 mile run today on a brisk (32 Degrees) and sunny fall morning in the PNW. Good luck to anyone racing this weekend.

Sunday morning here. Fell asleep before the thread came on. AM 1:15 run including 4 X 8 min. (2 km?) at "race pace". Well, I don't use a Garmin or anything like modern technology, so race effort!

PM: 3600m of swimming while apocalytical deluges washed away Saigon. Got stuck at school for a few hours waiting for rain to stop; it never did until late evening.

Now heading out for long run. Sure hope it goes better than last week, and flooding doesn't force me to do it all around and around a tiny loop! And no, don't even want to think the dreadmill--I WILL find the one patch of dry ground and run on it for two hours, if need be!

6 mile run this morning. I was not feeling the love. I was cold, back was achy. My aunt came for a visit a few hours later, so I'm claiming that as my excuse.

I really should go back out, but I can't bear to think of running in 40 mph wind gusts in 50 degree weather, so I'll probably put on a pilates or cardio video and sweat that way for 40 minutes or so.

The highlight of our day was meeting Sean Casey and Brandon Ivey, Discovery Channel storm chasers. The kids got autographs and were able to sit in the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle). My 11 year old was a little starstruck with Brandon, extreme meteorologist. lol

I hope everyone is having a great day.

16 mile run today.  Thought I could squeek by on minimal nutrition considering that I planned on taking it really easy... first 13 miles were great... last 3 were brutal. Legs started cramping up, knee started throbbing and got some weird pain in the top of my foot.

Well better to have a bad training run than a bad race.

4 mile run under 9 min/mile pace.  Hurted a little.  I lost some conditioning after being injured back in Oct.  Patience, 1TT, patience.
