Comments:

Both Trix and I wanted to go a 9ish pace. In the 5K we did a few weeks back we came out of the chutes fast. So today we positioned ourselves WAY in the back.

Lo and behold, we actually held a good training pace! Mid to high 8's. I felt solid for the entire run. Kind of surprised at that! :) I had enough juice left to accelerate a bit in the closing mile. NICE feeling. STILL, Trix had even more juice and blew by me at the end.
What would you do differently?:

Nada.
Post race
Warm down:

Met back up with Erin and her hubby! Ate plenty of yummy muffins. THEN, I saw Trix's bike! Darn is it small!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training!

Event comments:

A beautiful day for a run. :) Mid 50's with clear skies. The course runs through a nice neighborhood with established trees that offer plenty of shade. NICE.

What's best, though, is the feeling of just RUNNING again.

AND a million of other "little things"...feeling SO ALIVE as the endorphins and serotonin course through your body on a wonderful day. AND meeting up with friends. AND seeing friends enjoy the experience as much as you.

AND it's cool to be able to write RR's while listening to COLDPLAY and drinking the Caribou coffee I picked up on the way home. AND thinking of your next race, the next challenge.

Little things make ALL the difference.

When you total up all the "little things"... :)

Garmins ROCK! That's all I got. :)
Course: We did a 3.1 mile loop twice. The third mile had two or three steep but short climbs. Also had a few gentle risers in the beginning.
