2/15: 188.5 (but I forgot to weigh in before I ate breakfast, so the number may possibly be lower)

End of Feb. goal: 184

I may or may not make my end of Feb. goal, but I am pleased to be losing again. One of my motivations is the Rev3 Half Full in Oct: it is very hilly and I want to lose as much weight as I [safely and reasonably] can to have less to haul up the hills!

enders shadow - that happens to me very often - after eating poorly actually lose weight. It helps me to not give up when I see that my bad days didn't set me back too much.

Shermbelle, no idea how you hurt your shoulder? I hope the meds and some hot baths do the trick for you.

Have you tried keeping a food journal? I'm often surprised at how little I eat on some days, and how much I eat on others. I use a small (2 x 4 inches) pad.

Sometimes if I'm hungry but I see that I've had enough cals for the day, it helps me not eat. I record the food on a program that breaks down the info, so I can see if I'm high on fat or if my nighttime snack needs to be higher in protein.

Sorry for going MIA this week gang. Woke up Monday with my right shoulder super tight. As the day progressed so did the pain. Wasn't sure if I slept on it wrong or what so bagged my workout. Got up Tuesday after waking up all through the night in pain and knew something wasn't right. Struggled to get my work done and called my chiropracter and went to see him.

He said things were out of place sort of like the hockey players he sees that take big jarring hits. After crying on the table as he "moved" things back, I felt a little better and was headed back to work. Then it hit. Oh my the pain was unbearable. I went home and not back to work and hit the ibuprofen and ice hard. Dinner time came and I couldn't lift up my fork and my wife told me to go to the ER.

Quick look from the doc and feeling my shoulder she said she could see the muscles spasming. Off I went with 3 scripts for Vicodin, Muscle relaxers and 800mg tylenol so I could go to work.

Wednesday was like being at a Grateful Dead show in the 70's, not sure I remember my whole work day. Laughing

Long and short of it, feeling a 100% better than a few days ago but will admit my eating was horrible during this last week. Cleaned it up now but was up 1 pound to 208.

Lots of work ahead to salvage this month.

Feb 8 2012-  219.5 lbs  (- 6.5 lbs)

Goal for month- 211 lbs

Feb 15 2012-  213 (another -6.5 lbs)

lucky and I am on good roll, been very focused and disciplined, hope to keep it up.  Im pretty sure I am going to beat my goal for the month.

I hope you can get a handle on this. Is it an old injury? Would stretching help? did the doc give you an advice to avoid this from happening again?

189.3 avg!

With a high point of 191.5 that was frightening but I think some was water weight and some just too much food.

I am holding my own. trying to eat less since I am not running as much. I am also trying to be smarter with my sugar intake. JUst seems to be a lot of sweets around and stress at work is higher so i am sneaking more sugar and food than I need for fuel.

rode my road bike on a slightly windy feb day last saturday it felt good to pedal.

Aw thanks. I must confess, I spent a year doing tri training and lost no weight. That's a feat in itself when you're this big. But the difference now is my recovery from many foods that were just toxic to me, not just nutritionally but emotionally and spiritually.

I fully intend to be at least another 20 pounds lighter by May 12, my return to Annapolis TriRock. I have a big race the weekend before too, the NJ Devilman Half-Lite.
