Hi Everyone.

I've been hanging around this site for a few months now, enjoying the advice & camaraderie. I'm hopelessly unathletic, but I registered for a women's only sprint at the end of August, & have been faithfully hacking away at my training, slowly but surely (emphasis on the slowly...)

I've got lots of questions I'm hoping to get answered about training, diet, etc., but for now I'm just gonna say hi & glad to be here. Really admire everyone's dedication to this lifestyle.

Good luck with your training. You sound a bit like me - I am registered for the all-women's Daskin Tri on 8/1. I should have started training months ago, but hey, I do what I can do. Every day it is questionable whether I will actually get to work out. Every day is a challenge. Keep it fun and enjoy it!

Welcome ABBAgirl. Don't knock "slow"... slow and steady training will get you ready for a sprint and will help you avoid injury. I wish you the best of luck on your first triathlon.

Welcome aboard;
I was going to say don't knock slow and steady but I was beaten to it. It really is the best way to go.

Absolutely a dancing queen (favorite song of me & my two little girls!!!)

Love your name too -- have used it as a file name to contain my training schedule info, etc.

Thanks for the welcome.
