Subject: 12.19.12 Wednesday Workouts!

Good morning BT!  I hope everyone has been having a stellar week so far!

4:15am:  50 minute run: 1 mile warm up 3.5 miles of quarter mile incline repeats at various speeds and %s.
5:15am:  Insanity Upper Body Strength Training

Every 6-8 weeks my students and I have what I call "Coffee Chat". Today my 8th graders will bring in mugs and the novels they're reading, I supply the hot chocolate, we get into groups and behave in a very sophisticated manner while sipping our 'coffee' (pinkies out!) and discussing our novels.  It's so much fun (a little exhausting by the end of the day)--but the payoff is that I get 13 year olds (boys especially) talking about BOOKS!

Coffee Chat sounds so awesome I would even do it all by myself you are the coolest teacher ever.

One week post-IM and I'm back into full-on training. (The interim week was still really active as I tromped all over Busselton and Perth doing touristy things).

1:00 intervals stationary ride

Good Morning

Look Like its back to the pool for me, Doc thinks I have a mildly strained MCL in the right knee, probably did it agility training with the dogs of friday night, so no running for a few weeks definately, have to see how the bike is but  I am not expecting that to be much better, swimming seems to be fine so it looks like I wiil be spending a lot of time at the pool for the next few weeks, OH well at least I caught it early so it's not to severe.

I have Phisio tomorrow morning for my hip so I will talk to the phisiotherapist then and I see the Orthitics DR as well after that, so I can maybe see if it's from the new Orthotics.

A 97 min sufferfest bike session for me after work... Hopefully i will still be able to walk after it!

5K Sleighbell Shuffle run from a local running store tonight....Should be fun running through an older section of town with the big old homes all lit up with holiday lights, decorations etc....

MANY nationalities and religions (and non-religions) in this part of town so it will be fun to see it all at night..

60 min Trainerroad ride this morning bricked with a 5k run.

2250m in the pool at lunch.

Only a few shopping days left till Christmas.

Greetings!  Got in a 25 minute active recovery trainer ride this morning.  Gonna swim 2400 later in an outdoor pool, eeeeks!

"Coffee chat" sounds fun--I do that with my kids when we share writing ("Author's Chat"). 3200m worth of swimming this AM (the 1:30 100's weren't a fluke--I did four more of them today). Saw a reference to the outdoor pool up there--here in Eugene the crazies swim in it year-round. (Pool heated, air not!) Gale-force winds and 38 degrees, but new wetsuit kept me warm! Tonight headed to do something called a "team ride" at the tri club on their trainers. OMG I don't even know what that is! Just hope it's not competitive and no one makes fun of my measly power numbers.
