I know it sounds dumb...but does it. I don't have any desire providing all of my workouts and wherabouts to a 3rd party.

Iif you put anything on the internet, anywhere, assume they can see it. Now unless you are doing something nefarious, no one will ever look at it, so I wouldn't worry

They're using the data to put together a "secret" triathlon team to podium at all your races.

That is a false assumption based on the same concept that says only the guilty are on death row.

I am not one of those Doomsdayers or Tinfoil hat guys, but I have seen police put puzzles together incorrectly in real life.

People get taken away from their families for things like driving a car in which the previous owner left drugs in the spare tire holder. I'll bet you've never searched a used car for illegal contraband prior to purchasing. You watch somebody do a year for possession of something they didn't have any part in and they have no recourse to get their lives back.

People will get taken to prison for being on the same path and stop at the same location in which another person stopped previously.

Alright, I think the point that is being made is that BT doesn't have to "provide" anything to the NSA. If it is on the internet, and NSA wants it, they can get it - well, assuming they follow all legal requirements which I'm sure that would, of course.

I would say with certainty that BT isn't "providing" anything to the NSA, but I would say that anything and everything you put on here is easily accessible to the NSA, or anyone else for that matter if they want to look it up.

Say for example, you're collecting disability and claim you can't work.  If somebody searches on you and see's you posting your 15 mile run over the weekend, it can and will be used against you for sure.

yes, and people get hit by cars and struck by lightning. If you are that worried, I would delete all of your email account, memberships, and never use a search engine again. All of that stuff is stored on the internet for eternity. Oh, and don't use snapchat they can get at that too.
