This week I let my wife guest author my blog and she takes a humorous look at what it's like to be a spectator at an Ironman. Have a read if you're so inclined. Happy training!

Your wife is awesome writer, captures the day well...posted link in FB!

IM spectating gets easier when kids are older...my kids 15-24 like it or atleast they say they do....they like volunteering and cheering.

Congrats!

Awesome blog, thanks for the hilarious take on what the Ironman looks from the outside. So many of those stories are spot on...

I really enjoyed reading that!

My favorite line about cheering for your IM and them not having a clue "And then you learn that you just have to TELL them that you were there and you can actually go for ice cream instead".

Cracked me up .

This is an article about attending my first triathlon (as a spectator - I had never entertained the possibility of actually participating one before!), and how inspiring and motivating I found it.

"Fandom" in triathlon compared to other sports. If you're a sports fan and simply love to follow sport, why pick a sport that may offer a view of the start, the finish and a few moments in between?

I've rested them for 6 weeks, twice. I've had Active Release Therapy, massages, I'm doing Trigger Point, and stretching. Yet, I'm still having issues and can't get above 3 miles.
