Subject: CoJ intervention I am a lifelong coffee drinker but lately something has changed. My morning coffee does not appeal to me, in fact I keep comparing it to drinking dirt. I find myself turning to, to..... TEA!!!! What is happening to me?! I stopped at Starbucks this morning thinking that would put me back on the straight and narrow but I couldn't even finish a small and now I want to get that taste out of my mouth. HELP!!!!!!!!!! |

Ha ha, that would completely freak me out but no, highly unlikely at this point in my life . Although both of my sisters had surprises in their 40's! But for us - it would literally have to be a miracle. As far as the money aspect goes, I don't regularly buy Starbucks. I was given a gift card so it was kind of a treat. If I'm not drinking coffee I will switch to tea so I don't think I will be saving any money! I tried green tea the other day but spent the entire day dragging tired and yawning. Taste verses the caffeine pick me up - I'll take the caffeine for now I guess. Although I read black tea has more caffeine so I may give that a try. |

Thanks for the links! Lots of cool stuff for tea drinkers. I may get one of those travel mugs for our family Christmas gift exchange. Maybe a tea/coffee/hot cocoa basket combo so there is something for everyone. |

Member 114 Los Angeles | Subject: RE: CoJ intervention OK, OK, do not panic. We are still on time to get you back on the coffee band wagon... Step 1: DO NOT go to starbucks. Their coffee SUCKS. their coffee is like boiled dirt. Step 2: Go to your local trader joes or whole foods or similar and get a packet of Kona (maybe Kona blend) and a packet of medium roast Colombian. Then go to your local target or whatever and buy a french press... Prepare your coffee unsing the french press, one batch of Kona, one batch of Colombian, smell them, sip on them, enjoy them (add, only if you need it, sugar and cream until you find the perfect spot)... This will help you remember how awesome real coffee is. |

I can always search the internet though. It may be too late, tea again today...... |

Coffee tends to have a short peak/crash cycle whereas tea is a nice gentle climb with sustain. I tried some black tea today and that was a nice wake me up without the jitters. I had a second cup at about 9:00 and almost immediately after I finished it my stomach started flipping and I had to run to the bathroom! I had a stomach ache the rest of the afternoon. Go figure. But, I added a little Truvia to the tea. Maybe it was that and not the tea at all? I always drink my coffee black. |

I always drink tea and coffee (when I do drink it) black. I usually have two cups of tea each morning unless I'm so busy I don't notice my cup is empty |

I had caramel vanilla in my hand but I was afraid I wouldn't like it so went with the plain stuff. Anyway, no truvia today and no speedy trip to the bathroom! |
