Congrats to everyone making the 1,000 mile mark and even those who didn't, that gave it a try. Even a few miles are better than no miles. There is still time.

HAPPY Thanksgiving and if you are going to travel, please be careful!

1217 miles as of this morning. That is counting the 10 mile run to my in-laws for the Wednesday Thanksgiving, and today's 6 miles to work off a little of yesterdays Thanksgiving I've got a few more miles to run so I can hammer down all those leftovers

Keep it all up guys. If a total newbie runner can crack 1000 miles than you can too (and if you're not on track for this year just consider it base building for next years effort)

Great job everyone on the first eleven months.  The cold is really starting to kick in around some places and is going to make the last month a little tough for some.  We might get a little snow tomorrow.  Very high winds and driving rain have been the norm around here the last week.

I'm at 1448 so should hit my goal soon.  I've taken the last four days off which is my longest break in a few years.  I was really feeling beat down as I was working on a bike mileage goal as well as the running. Needed some recovery.  Enjoying recovery time which is making it hard to get going again.  Each day it gets harder to start back up.

Hi guys, congratulations to everyone on hitting their goals.

I am at 1495.5

I lost my partner of 22 years to a sudden heart attack the first of this month. I am just now getting back into some running. Nothing about my life is the same, my hope is running will still be a positive for me at some point. Right now I am pretty much just doing it.

Prayers and hugs to you! I'm so sorry. Do whatever you need to do right now. Don't listen to friends/family telling you that you should or shouldn't do x, y, or z. They tell you those things because they love you but they may not (or may) have the answers. Just find what is best for you as you heal. I'm so sorry.

Mary I am so sorry to read about your loss. Do what feels right to you. I actually stopped running (and pretty much everything) for 7 years after I lost my son, which was a mistake, but it happened, but I nevertheless came out of the worst of it. Best to you.

November was a great running month with a BQ and first place finish in AG at Rock 'n' Roll Savannah. Took a few weeks after the marathon to get running miles back up and am also swimming and cycling a little too since I have a Sprint Tri this Saturday, but I am not too far off track. On November 30th at 1834 miles. We'll see how the month goes, but it will be a close call for the 2000 mark.

Have a great running month.

Hi everyone,

Congrats to everyone for this year of running. Unfortunately my year stopped at 500miles due to a right hip flexor injury ( damn soccer ). This has been going on for several months now but hopefully I will be back at running early January 2015.

cheers

So sorry about your injury! Heal up and start 2015 with a bang.

Congrats to Popsracer and Isis on getting their goals.

I'll finish this year with about 1125 or so. Not as good as last year but I'll take it. Got a PR in my 50K last week so I'm finishing this year with PRs in 5K, 10K, HM, mary, and 50K so I'm happy.

Rabbit is at 975.3.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
