In other words make certain if you are buying online that it is actually coming from somewhere here in the US and not overseas. |

The deal is, it HAS to have the CPSC sticker inside or it's no good because it will be inspected. I've got a store actually checking their helmets for the sticker now. Yeah, I've found a thread on SlowTwitch talking about how to avoid buying anything online and ONLY buy from a store if you can. Or if you are doing it online, verify the hell out of it being CPSC. Good luck. I've always thought they were sharp looking. |

I buy very little online......our LBS is great to us and even when I find something online I check with our store first....if they can get it, they match the price always. Unfortunately, Jr. wants a catlike helmet (b-day gift) and they are REALLY hard to find. Next is the CPSC issue because it's just a piece of plastic he can't use without the cert. sticker. |

Subject: RE: Catlike helmets Does he know about the new Giro Synthe that will be available to the public soon? A semi aero road helmet that was designed to be aero while riding in the drops or on the horns while still maintaining decent ventilation. A lot of them being worn at the TdF even during mountain stages. |

I've got him checking out the Lazer z1 as well. http://www.bikeradar.com/us/road/gear/category/helmets-and-protection/helmet-standard/product/review-lazer-z1-helmet-48418/ Edited by Left Brain 2014-07-23 12:42 PM |

Pro 4578 Vancouver, BC | Subject: RE: Catlike helmets Oh wow. Catlike helmets are quite easy to find here and are quite popular. For something different, check out the POC as well. Like Catlike, they seem to be a love or hate the style thing, but quite a few of my friends are switching to them because the design seems to be better at preventing concussions. Also, they only come in "safety" colours. |

I can only assume that your helmet certification standards don't include CPSC......and from what I am working through, even if they are sold here, it doesn't mean they have the CPSC factory sticker....which, believe it or not, is a must have for many races, and inspections are mandatory. I just want to buy a helmet.....damn. |
