Hi Roland
Happy New Year.
I will track my mileage again. I haven't decided what my distance goal will be, or even if I will have a distance goal.
Starting the new year off with a sore throat so it will take me a few days to get going.

I'll play...I'm on run 21 of the Slowtwitch 100/100 Challenge and no body parts are broken yet. I'm doing almost all my running on my treadmill...

It's been a few years since I clocked 1000mi but most of my chronic ouchies are taking a break or something so I'm inclined to take advantage by running more. Very, very slow running...

Best of luck to all playing along..

Because of this statement, I'll try again. I've been failing on my run miles the last few years because I've been doing gym, walking, and yoga in addition to the running. My body and soul is happier with the balance but I feel like a loser when recording miles because I only record running miles and not walking. So if it's ok with the group, I'll still record only running miles under my running log but once a month, I'll include my walking miles in my overall total. Then I'll see if those 1 to 3 mile walks added to running miles will get me to 1000 miles - traveled by foot - for the year. On on.

Welcome back Pam!

Yup! I do run/walks on my long runs so walking counts!

I was sick which resulted in no runs for me from Dec 30 until Jan 7.
In all of 2018 the longest gap with no running was 4 days.
Still bellow 100% - my runs on Jan 8 and Jan 9 felt a pretty sluggish bit it's good to be moving again.
Not off to a good start bu I know that in the long run it's no big deal.

I'm in. I ran 1,000 miles for the first time last year. 1,001.5 to be more exact. I would like to repeat plus a little more cushion.

Hi everyone!  1214km for me (Just over 750 miles) in 2018.  Not sure I will ever get 1000 miles, but will keep trying .  I always seem to get sick in December and get derailed.  Not that I was going to do 250 miles in Dec

Best of luck that you all meet your 2019 goals!

Welcome back IronOx! I know what you mean about getting sick. I almost didn't make myself last year due to shingles attacking me late January last year. Good thing it didn't kick my for too long, hehehe.

Just had a record setting month in January with just over 200 running miles injury free (well almost, I tripped and fell a couple weeks ago, hehe).

How'd everyone's January go?

I got 135-ish which is more than I've done in a month in quite some time...I'm at 55 runs in 52 days for the 100in100 Challenge and still moving forward but without distinction in either pace or distance per-run. I've done almost every run on my treadmill and it's probably the reason why the ouchie parts haven't gone into armed revolt...

ff pace, nothing that can't be fixed this month. Speaking of injuries I came close to having a treadmill crash last week. While I was running an 8 pt buck was standing in my neighbor's yard. Deer are like squirrels around here, but the big ones lay low during the day (that's how they get to grow to be big ones). We had a major storm coming and so even he was out feeding.
I was spending too much time watching him, when I stepped on the motor housing for the machine and banged into the consul. Fortunately, I caught myself one the hand rails before I came down for and ugly crash.

Glad you're okay! Did you happy to scare off the buck?

Treadmill running ftw! I've done lotsa treadmill running myself lately due to heavy rain and my lack of rain gear. It was pure insanity and 3 IM Kona WC shows to get me through my recent 3.5 hour treadmill run. O_O

Hope that you are ok! I actually did have a treadmill crash the other day. My gym wasn't open and went to hubby's with him. So different treadmills (no excuse) and hubby is on the left side of me. Talking to him and stepped off on the left and down I go. When I finally got up, hubby looked and me and said, "See, I told you that you always swerve towards me when we run together." Grr. I hate that he had to use that moment to point out that he is right.

10 days ago we had our Tybee Island runfest - 5 races in 2 days for marathon distance. I was convinced that I wouldn't finish the half in time to go to the 4th race but actually made it. So all 5 races completed which was more than I deserved since other things (as well as motivation) kept me from serious training in Oct/Nov.

Pink Socks --oops, I accidentally put my mileage total in your totals field on the spreadsheet...I'm sure there's some way I could have undone my blunder but I would probably have things even worse. My apologies..

No problem. But I liked your totals better than mine.

Another good month of running has passed without injury, yay!

I did take a few days off due to my right Achilles feeling sore after a sub 60 miles of running week about 2 weeks ago. It's still sore but not so bad (there's no pain when I go running). I applied some KT Tape to provide some support.

After tomorrow's 20-22 mile LSD run I begin to taper down for the LA Marathon, woohoo!!!

Yay for no pain!

I am creeping up on the bunny.  Still way behind, but making progress.  Ran a 5km today and PR'd by 30 seconds.  Pretty happy with that

LA Marathon race day approaches! I've invested just over 750 running miles in 148 hours in the past 6 months consisting of torturous 400m hills, 800m Yassos, and lotsa easy paced running to pwn this race. Wish me luck guys!
