'splain this to me please

Spokes, that was from the July 2005 "hottie of the month" thread.

Way way way back in the day when I drove to SF everyday for work, I'd check my voicemail and handle "fires" before I got into the office.  Since most of the people I work with are in NY, I could get a lot done in the hour and a half while I was stuck in the car. 

But I never drove badly because of the cell phone.  Well, it's hard to drive badly in stopped traffic.

I don't do that anymore.  Now I take the bus and get to work at 7 am, and deal with stuff in the office.   No cell phone talking allowed on the bus.

Maybe they're talking with family/friends.  My commute home used to be the time that I'd call my family or friends and catch up.  I know a couple of people who have a regular phone date with their moms in the morning. 

I have drivers who start regularly at 6am and occassionally at 5am or earlier that I'm talking to on my way in. 

One time I was at the gym getting dressed and flipped open my phone to see if any of them had called.  The guy next to me says "Get a lot of calls at this time?" It was 6:15am.  I held up my phone to show him the "2 missed calls" message.

Are you sure that isn't Keith Richards?
