  • Comments: A solid race day for me. This was a B event and a good way to work out the kinks before IM CDA (in four weeks). Very pleased with the effort and result. I held back and performed as desired. Should give me a good boost of confidence heading into the last four weeks of training.

  • Comments: The volunteers and Medical tent personnel were awesome. Knowing how demanding and difficult Disney can be, this is a great race put on by a great RD. Will definitely do again next year - May 18th, 2008!!

  • Comments: Overall, this was a very well run event. I was happy with my time as I improved from a 5:57 at Timberman 70.3 to a 5:12 at Florida 70.3 this year. I believe that the big difference is the new bike and the Zipp 808s. If I concentrate on my swim during the summer and can put together a good run at the end than I think I am capable of some big improvements. I will probably do another half iron distance this year and we will see.

  • Comments: Very happy with this race, Ironman village was great and the number of people volunteering and supporting everyone was awesome. Outstanding race and I enjoyed being there. Got a lot of good merchandise and can't wait to see my pictures. Congradulations to everyone that was out there and thank you to everyone who was there to support.

  • Comments: The out and back on the run were really tight. Other than that, great run race. Well, I PR'd by 28 minutes!! And I got a Clearwater 70.3 World Championship spot. It was a great day.

  • Comments: I am VERY happy with the race. 5 months ago I was uncertain about been able to train and 3 months ago I was uncertain about when I was going to be able to get back in good racing shape. Considering all that plus the fracture on my femur, I couldn’t be more pleased with my race execution and result. Still I have mixed feelings cuz after learning that I have a fracture on my femur it makes me questioned my desicion of finishing. Now I'll be out of actino for 4-8 weeks but i hope at least I can do some swimming to avoid loosing all my fitness THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Jess, Jeff, Trixie and Shannon for the awesome cheering and support. Thanks to Philip for been my race drug dealer (and congrats on the killer PR) Mac, Dan and Mimi it was very fun meeting you (and Dan, you definitely have issues!)

  • Comments: A good race, competition, setup and venue with the exception of the run course. RANT ON: It almost felt like Disney was calling the shots and in order to not incovinience the other tourists(mind you the 2000+ triathletes and families had a huge economic impact to Disney), hid us in the crappy grass run course. With all the roads Disney owns, you would think that we could use a nice 3 or 4 mile stretch and do a few loops on that. On the other hand, if the race organizers are using the off road run as a feature of the race, they are dead wrong. It sucks! I would even concede to run a little bit on the grass but put more milage on asphalt, please. RANT OFF I will do this race again next year ;)

  • Comments: This is the biggest race, in terms of production, that I've ever done...it was cool to have a little village to wander through, but not much to do or see there. There were tons of volunteers and crowd support, which is very cool. I tried to thank as many people as I could, as I really and truly appreciated their being there. I think I want to do this again...biggest complaint-the run course. It was awful in my opinion. Not sure how they can improve it or if they even care. I had a great time. My mental attitude was so good for this. I was a little nervous the night before, but it quickly passed and was fine the morning of. It was great to see all the BTers...and let me just say Frank and Bill are world class guys. They have lovely families and are just rock solid dudes. Thanks guys!

  • Comments: I thought about the race on my drive home and whether I would do it again after doing it in 2005 and now in 2007. I have to say I will. It's fun for the family being at Disney and it is pretty well run. I do wish the run course had more shade, but I suppose it is part of the challenge.

  • Comments: I was really expecting a bigger event for the fee. This being a WTC/ Ironman event. The expo was the worst I have seen- except for Longleaf. A race of this prestige should be blowing the doors off St. Anthonys- as far as perks. I was disappointed. I don't know if I would repeat for the money I spent.

  • Comments: All they had to eat after the race was pizza and that ran out right after I got mine. There were still a lot of athletes that hadn't finished the race yet. Only water to drink. No gatorade, no fruit. Very dissappointed with the variety of nourishment. Good giveaways though. Finisher T-shirt, nice medal, Ironman tote bag, running cap. Very impressed with the schwag they gave out.

  • Comments: Music or band after race would be nice. Needed more massagers. Had to wait about one hour to get massage. Food not very good-pizza.
