  • Plenty of drink stations?

  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: I've done this race since its start 4 years ago. It has gotten bigger, but only somewhat better organized. I like it because it's an easy, early season race. However, I don't like the 300 miles of driving between packet pick-up and race day. May pass next year and break my streak.

  • Comments: The one element of this event that I was very pleased with was the amount of volunteers and their efforts. I'm not sure if it is like that at every race, but I was very happy with the volunteer presence and extremely greatful for all their help during the race.

  • Comments: Enjoyed the setting for the tri. Bike course was through a subdivision; made it hard to get up to and maintain speed.

  • Comments: Hung around, got my plaque and podium shot, exchanged contact info with Rob, and I'll see him again in a few weeks at our next sprint. I've raced here since they started this one 3 years ago. They've come a long way since then and each race is better run and better attended.

  • Comments: For a "neighborhood" race, this is a good one. The bike route needs to be longer (at least 12 miles to help out us gearheads) and straighter (because with a course that flat, you want speed!) Pretty much everything else is spot on.

  • Comments: Volunteers were great - lots of help and cheering and encouragement. It's a small race in it's 3rd year. Very pretty scenery - magnificent homes / estates / mansions / compounds.

  • Comments: The area is beautiful and a good location for a race. With over 500 participants the tranition area was tight.

  • Comments: Perfect race for someone who just wants to have a good time or get in a short practice tri before a more intense tri. Not too intense, and competitors all very nice. Very friendly course & volunteers. Family friendly competitiion.

  • Comments: This was a fun race, short enough to go wide-open and not mess up any training schedules and just a well run event. Gave it 4 just because it lacked that "little extra" that makes it a 5.

  • Comments: Good race! Well put on, good volunteers, good location. The Bike course is technical with all it's turn but it's still fun. Only reason I rated it a 4 is because I'm a bit anal about course lengths and I feel these were a bit off.

  • Comments: despite my small unhappiness that i didn't break the hour mark, i am absolutely stoked that i beat my goal. i had hoped to take 15 minutes off my last years time. i knew i would shave about 7 minutes in the swim but i was unsure where i would find that other 8 minutes. i found them in every part of the race.....except T2. now to go to work for next year. i need to "find" nine more minutes from somewhere to try and win my agegroup. i need 2 more mph on the bike and 6:30 miles. yeah...... i took a grand total of 16:24 off last years race time! swam my fastest ever open water swim average/100 yards! ran my fastest ever 5K! had a pretty good bike split despite placing so poorly, i think people are getting faster. my overall time last year would have gotten me 8th in my age group.

  • Comments: Good race for my first triathlon. I didn't like running on the sidewalks, but as I said earlier, I survived. Every volunteer was extremely nice. I liked the setup for the arrival of the participants. As you walked to the transition all participants were marked, and then there was bike/helmet check immediately after at the entrance to the transition area. There was no guesswork as to where I should be and when.

  • Comments: Only my 2nd tri, but seemed to be well organized. Only two things that bothered me- not enough porta potties and no mile markers on the run. Lots of post race food and drink- pizza, fruit, other stuff. Posted results quickly. I'll be back next year and hopefully I'll do better on the swim!

  • Comments: A very good race, especially for a first-time event. Lots and lots of food and drinks with very good variety. The only downside was lack of portacans. There were only 5 for the whole event. The line before the race was ENORMOUS. I knew this would be a problem and was glad I took care of business early before the race.
