  • Comments: Since this was my first real race and I don't have a point of comparison I think it was awesome. Even though I thoroughly sucked, I can't wait to do it again so I already signed up for the Battle of Fort Desoto Triathlon in August. Maybe I can redeem myself. De Opresso Libre

  • Comments: Good race venue but they ran out of water after the race and only had lemon lime gatorade (which they also ran out of). There were still plenty of runners on the course and no fluids at the finish line.

  • Comments: very good race and well organized. post race amenities could be lots better, considering the food tent is competitor exclusive and this yr there were no medals, they could have done a lot better than pizza and rice and beans. That said, the organization was excellent - this is a race I would come back to. On performance: one thing I still don't understand is how come my times were slower than 1 yr ago., yet my standings are much better (category: 09/10) AG: 38 of 80 /27 of 60 OA: 337/254 Time: 1:20:25/1:25:19 SWIM 35/32 (+4:01) urghhh! T1 (+0:15) BIKE 30/20 (+0:31) how the heck???? T2 (+0:08) RUN 52/35 (+0.01) (OAF Would have finished 29/60 on actual age group

  • Comments: very good organization - on time, quick results postings, course was challenging, especially the bike with bridges and many corners, and the run on sand. The temp and weather were perfect. I am signing up for 2010 even if I turn it into an OLYMPIC dist year.

  • Comments: Glad I did this race and got over my gephyrophobia. The race was well done with 2 exceptions: 1- Don't make people get their timing chips separately from packet pickup on race morning. 2-The Bellair bridge needs police at the base of the actual bridge, where the bike lane disappears; not a half mile down the road.

  • Comments: I enjoyed the reversal of the bike course, but I think the climbs are easier coming the other way. Regardless on how I do, I will always be back to race in MPM again. After all Morton Plant did all they could for my sister.

  • Comments: In its second year this race was sold out. It's a great experience. It's like a little St. A's. The course is challenging, the atmosphere is great, the post race stuff is awesome. Free beer too!! I will definitely do this one every year.

  • Comments: no Pizxa??? bike course was a bit dicey in some parts... narrow road due to construction and cars were not being courteous. course hazards were well marked though. Cops out to support at intersections. Beautiful day for a bike ride!!

  • Comments: The chip table needed improvement, and the traffic issue at the bridge can be addressed, but for a second year event this is a well-run event. PErsonally I could do without the sand, but that is my own problem. There were a lot of officials on the course - and thankfully because there were a lot of people blocking - i didn't see any drafting issues. I would do it again at a lower weight.

  • Comments: Too many people in the swim start making for a very physical swim. The pack did not thin out until the end. Also, the bridge back onto the island was narrow and had traffic that was moving slower than the riders with no way to pass. Overall, a very good race.

  • Comments: Loved the overall race, will definetly do it again next year, If any changes it would be with the swim, maybe breaking down the age groups more and spacing it out every 3 minutes instead of 2, other than that was a well run race and I'm sure will get even better.

  • Comments: There are so many people that helped me through my training and my first TRI. Between my family and my BT family I was able to finish with a pulse (which was my goal). Jeff thank you for being my unpaid coach, you are such a generous and patient friend. I look forward to many more races with my fellow BTers. Christine Congrats on hardware!!! Terri Thank you for Strappin for us!!! Colette, Thank you for putting up with the time my training takes away from you and James.
