Subject: RE: Ironman Canada Swim StartI dunno guys, I have done 2 IM's and finish in the top 15% of the swim (1:03 australia and 1:06 CDA ) and have come to strongly believe that seeking clear water away from the thrash is by far the best. Keeping ones HR and anxiety level low while getting a good rhythm and glide really helps set up the bike. getting caught in the masses just tires you out and slows you down. So, don't eat the paste like everyone else. The extra yards you end up swimming is more than compensated by staying relaxed and getting into a good rhythm. My two cents |
