1. I buy Specialized Pro Transition

2. I win races on new bike

3. New bike gets crunched in car accident

4. Insurance refuses to give me any money

5. Specialized offers 25% off of new Pro module (frame and crankset) - 2100 for whole set

6. Specialized realizes they are out of Pro module in my size

7. Decides "oh well, we'll just give her this instead":

S-Works Module

...for the same price.

The triathlon gods LOVE me.

Wow, great deal! My road bike is a Specialized and I love it. Were you able to salvage any parts off the old one or are you building this one up from scratch? I think this one deserves some SRAM Red from Ebay/Bicycle Doctor, and some Zipps!

I know I like them too.  I was at the bike shop asking about my weight and carbon bikes.  So the guys called up specialized and asked them whats up.  They called back and said they had a 320lb guy ride a transition pro with zero problems.   It was the head cheese that told us that. pretty cool.   Cervelo, did the same thing called up those toronto guys and asked them they said it can hold up to 400lbs.    Now im just confused on which one I want P2 or transition Pro. gah

I have two Specialized mtn bikes I have raced, Rockhopper in the beginning and an Epic.  Love them both.

Specialized makes such a great product.  Glad they went to bat for you - great customer service!

Morgan,

I ride an S-Works Tarmac.  Let Specialized know that you posted this and that they have gained at least one new customer.  I will buy a Transition when I am ready for a tri bike instead of the Felt and Cervelo I was looking at!

I have had my Specialized road bike for a few years now and no problems. The local bike shop that sells them has been really good for service, and installing some upgrades along the way too.
