Why I Love Chipotle....

1.  Great recovery food post race/hard workout

2.  Is an appropriate food for most any occasion

3.  I never get tired of it

Chipoodle is owned by McDonald's. Enough said.

Wrong. Chipotle is a separate publicly owned company, thanks to a recent IPO.

Isn't this thread about a year too late......I mean if everyone on here had to subtract the posts from their post count that contains "burrito" or "Chipotle" then Haley, Janelle, Jim, and most of the other "pro" ranks would have about 4 or 5 posts each....just saying.

Well if YOU say so.  But obviously you've done something to make them think otherwise.  Don't you hate it when people get a false impression of you???

surfwallace - 2006-04-18 2:31 PM I was very surprised upon moving to TX that they don't have any authentic taquerias.

There were a couple in Houston. FYI: if taco de lingua or taco de cabeza aren't on the menu, it's not a real taqueria.

Well Bear's not entirely correct here. Yes, Chipolte is a publicly traded company but it is a subsidiary of McDonalds. McDonalds is a majority stockholder of Chipolte.

I hate chipolte. They closed down my local chinese place and are putting in a McDOn...err....Chipolte in it's place. Less than a block away from a good authentic local place. I just hope all the people who keep the Panera in business won't go there and drive the local place out of business. I really hate chain restaurants with a passion and refuse to give them a dime.
Speaking of franchising you Gainsville / UF people will be interested to know that Burrito Brothers has opened a franchise in Tampa and you can now buy the franchising rights.
TQ forever.

Hmmm, add burritos (and anything from Chipotle) to the list of things I don't eat.  never have, never will.

OTOH, I love Chipotle because it cracks me up the way you guys talk about this stuff.

There's a couple in Dallas as well. Have you tried going over to the East 5th street area in Austin? When I lived in Austin in the late 90s there were a few good taquerias in the area.

I'm a Chipotle fan, but Freebirds is definitely better.
