Good stuff - tells us your good news this week 01/25

Quieter week for me this week so ...

• New job still going well and i am getting to know my new team better - they are all lovely
• Still feeling good and healthy 21 weeks into my pregnancy
• I feel like i am getting back into a workout routine - i really do love running which is a run/walk for now

* Three days riding the bike to work this week. In January!

* Lisa's brother and niece are spending the weekend with us. They came last night. To say the energy level of the house is up is a bit of an understatement.

My team at work won an industry award yesterday - feels good since I was the one who put together 90% of the award application (and of course, was part of the team that did the recognized work).

I have a phone interview next week for my dream job. 

Going home today to see the family. Last time I saw them was Jan 3rd. 

Got a good performance review at work. 

Hired a guy to come work for me/us.

Middle son turned 18

Income taxes are filed (and return already spent)

My driveway is thawing out

I haven't missed any workouts at all this week - not something I've been able to say since mid-November

We get to hang out with Whizzz and Coredump tomorrow night

And my most highly anticipated event has finally got a date... February 21st is the date for my Green Card application interview!  If all goes well, I'll have my card about a week after that and then I'll be allowed to look for work and not have to worry about getting kicked out of the country!!  WOOT!

My new puppy just snuggled up next to me on the floor all cuddly and warm without trying to gnaw on me like a chew toy . And, he has started sleeping through the night in his kennel in the garage without crying or whining. In fact he does not even mind going in there to take a nap during the day!

My husband finished installing the laminate flooring in our unfinished basement and the plumber came to install the toilet. It's starting to shape up down there.

My sister is in labor as I type this!!

After being in the hospital since December 30th, my son is home and didn't have to go right back into the hospital (last week he was home but went right back).   It's been a rough week but our family is almost back together under one roof.

Due to my son being in the hospital and all of the issues we've dealt with, my husband is coming home early from his deployment.  So, after 8 months of being gone, he's coming home.  While we don't love the circumstances under which this happened, we are grateful he'll be home. 

I'm learning how to run in frigid temps.

I have an interview Monday at a school that has the same philosophy of teaching that I do.  

Did that about 7 years ago, went without a hitch.

My wife is waiting for a call from the citizenship app.

Thanks!  If all goes well (and I'm keeping everything crossed that I can possibly cross that it does) the entire process from the time of submitting the applications will have only taken 4 months.   

If I can ask, what countries are your respective spouses from?  And in terms of the citizenship application, does your wife have to denounce her current citizenship for the US one? 

That's awesome.  One of the things I love about this sport is how approachable the pros/elites are.
