Oh c'mon.  At least three times in every broadcast he says something that is laugh out loud ridiculously funny.

Way better than Dan Dierdorff or Paul McGuire.

He's more than a broadcaster, he's an institution.  What are they going to call the video game now?

It's like when Harry Carey died... or Howard Cosell, or someday, Vin Scully.  The airwaves will never be the same.

I like Madden.  Not gonna be the same without him.  I agree, much better (more entertaining) than most.  Give me Madden calling a game over Dennis Miller any day.

Yup, like, 'And when a player has the ball and..and...and...crosses the goal line...that's a touchdown!'

I met a guy from Wisc. A few weeks ago, and he says alot of guys around there think Favre is NOW going to sign in Minny. Now that he is free of the GB contract.

The best thing about Madden was that my wife couldn;t stand him.  So, when he was on TV, she would immediately leave the room, guaranteeing me a relatively peaceful game watching experience.

But to replace him with Chris Collinsworth?  They'd do better with 4 boiled chickens and some dry white toast...

Collinsworth is very underrated. Even Madden acknowledges he's the best. I am very excited at the Michaels-Collinsworth Sunday night booth.
