Any other suckas out there working today?  I am officially in the office today at 7:30 and I DON'T like it, so I am hoping to hear others are sharing in the misery!

Hey, noticed your location.

There's going to be a whole mess of us around that area:

Oh yeah, we were in at 7:00. I get a bunch done on days like today, because no one else is here to bother me. And, we do our drinking on July 3rd, so the 4th is recovery day.

Wow...very nice.  I didn't even know this event existed out here.  Ironically it looks like it starts in a city called Mequon which is where I grew up.  I took a look at the 2012 course map they have posted and you won't be disappointed.  Looks like a very scenic, nice route with a good chunk close to the lakefront (which is often a little bit cooler).  Have a great time in Wisconsin and maybe have a bratwurst, some fine, aged cheddar cheese and maybe even a beer or two!

Yup. But we were told we can leave around 2 p.m. today so that makes it marginally better.
Got a KILLER parking space though...

i'm at work (unfortunately), hardly anyone here and our AC is just now kicking in...since no one was in yesterday they turned it off (costs something like $2k a day to run), and it didn't get turned back on until like 7am, and then someone had fooled with levers and stuff...but its cooling down finally

rumor has it they are goign to cut us loose early - we shall see about that...

Sweet on the parking spot.  I was actually able to back into my parking spot today (so that I can fly out of here quicker tonight)!  It is normally impossible to back into a spot because there are normally 30 cars stacked up behind me as we all drive into the massive parking structure.  At 7:30 am it seemed like there were about 10 cars in the entire structure so I also got a PRIME spot.

The office is like a ghost town! And some brainiac shut the a/c off for the 4 days weekend....so us idiots who did not take a vacation day today get to roast in hail for our sin.

Um, yeah. Sure I'm working. I deleted all my junk email and have yet to get one business call today. Totally sunburned and tired after a day on the lake fishing, glad it's dead.

Both kids are working, so I'm vicariously productive through them

Got here about 8am. It's pretty quiet today. The streets were empty.

I just want to go back to bed.

So the good news is:

1. No waits for the microwaves to heat lunch.
2. No waits for the elevators.
3. Very quiet and peaceful.
4. No meetings to attend since the standing meetings were all cancelled.
5. Bathrooms remain clean

What else?

The 6 weeks off wasn't for fun. The 3 days back were really brutal going through all that e-mail. I really need some time to recharge the batteries. Sleeping in till 10:00 helped. Laughing
