I have a love hate relationship wth "sports" sunglasses.  I can barely go outdoors without sunglasses due to light sensitivity so unless it is very overcast, I have to wear them.  I cannot ride the bike without something shielding my eyes because of watering.  I have broken every single pair of sports sunglasses I have ever owned.  I have a relatively small face and glasses tend to refuse to stay put on my nose. I hate pushing them up every two seconds.  Please tell me what your favorite glasses are why.  I'd especially like to hear from the gals who have small faces.

Had Oakley half-jackets about 1 month.  Love them because yous can swap out lenses. I have the high intensity yellow for low light and "silver ice" for regular use.  I wear contacts and am sensitive to glare so eye protection is a must

I have had the Oakley Half-Jackets for about 2 years now and really like them. In fact, I just bought a second pair. Most glasses are too big for my face, but these have worked out excellent!

I have a small face for a guy and am light sensitive, and I have a pair of Oakley Flak with the XLJ lenses that fit my face well and don't look like bug eyes. If you are looking at the Flak, look at the XLJ lenses, as they are sculpted to fit closer to you face and make the sunglasses overall look smaller. They also come with different size nose pieces allowing you to pick which fit you best.

I just got a sponsorship from Uvex this week, so I will be trying a pair of their crow pro sunglasses, as they look simmilar in style, size and fit, and come with grey, yellow and clear lenses. I'll update when I have them.

I use Tifosi sunglasses...not sure of the style name.  They have 3 interchangeable lenses (mirrored, amber, and clear) and great customer service.  The nose piece of my old pair fell out, and I didn't notice until the next time I pulled them out.  I took them to the store where I bought them, and they gave me a brand new pair.  I also have a friend who broke hers in a bike crash, and she got a free new pair.  They have several different styles, and the nose piece is great, and overall really lightweight.  I hardly notice they are there.

She's got a slightly smaller face, and she loves them.  They come with interchangeable lenses.  I think mine came with three sets of lenses, and I bought the darker "black" lenses when I got the glasses.

They're very comfy, and I've never had a problem with them sliding off my nose.

Foster Grant Ironman "Triumph" style -- <$20 at Target.  Just bought my second pair...not because the first pair broke, but just had accumulated a couple too many scratches from being abused over the last year of training and racing.  Best cheap sunglasses ever, best sunglasses for training I've had.

another vote for the Oakley Half Jackets. Have had mine for 3 yrs and love them. Usually end up wearing them 8-10 hrs a day between training and work. Bonus of being able to pop out the lens and switch them when need be.

The $15 Ironman sunglasses at Target have always been most comfortable for me for cycling (esp in aero) and running. I'm on my second pair. My first pair lasted 2 or 3 years; I've been using my current pair since July 2007.

x2

Those suckers are up to $17.99 now   I picked up a new more fashionable model last month after my last pair that were a couple of years old finally broke.

I would recommend just getting in your car (or on your bike!) and going first to Target and then to the local bike shop.  I wouldn't buy sunglasses without trying them on, especially if I have had problems in the past, and Google won't tell you much more than what these folks have said (unless you're looking for price, and I will say that Serfas and Tifosi are in the $50 range, while Oakleys will quite a bit run more).   If the Target Ironman glasses work, you're set for cheap!  If not, then you can most of the brands suggested at the bike shop.  My shop sells Serfas and Oakleys and a few other high end choices.

When you put them, shake your head a few times to see if they stay.  Like headbanging.  Don't be embarassed, it's a lot of money and you want to be sure.

You can also buy the Foster Grant Ironman glasses at Walgreen's, if that's more convenient.  Good luck!

No contest.  Oakley radar.  They are incredible.  Sweat does not stick.  I was lucky and got mine for $55.  I have tried many different type of sunglasses, Bolle, etc and this is hands down the best.

I buy my sunglasses at Wal-mart in the sports fishing section for 15-18$, they have several styles.  I quit $ buying nice sunglasses a long time again.  The last Oakley's I had I found on the Las Vegas strip in 06!

I picked some great really small ones at a marathon expo for $10 each or so.
I also have some called Cat1 or something like that - got them at Performance Bike and they have interchangeable lenses. I need the clear ones in case I get caught in a storm on the way home from work. They were $40 or so and they fit my small face.

X 2. The ones I have are wraparound and the peripheral vision on the bike is great. I have worn these for a couple of years.....very happy with them.

Another Native Eyewear person here.  My larger head is covered in Hardtop XP.  They are also great on the water when boating.

I found a pair of Oakley FIVES on the curb outside my place and have been using them for the last 2 years. They're light weight and don't move much, for some reason they don't scratch either. If I were to go out and buy them I would have broke or lost them within a day, but if I find them, they're with me for life. Hopefully, I find another pair real soon, also, if these were yours, your not getting them back

Well thanks to the advice of many, I went to Wal-mart and bought a pair of those $15 Ironman glasses.  My birthday is in September so by then I may have made it to the bike shop to try on some of the fancier glasses (or I may have decided that the $15 ones are all I need).  So thank you all very much for the input.  I'd love to buy the Oakleys but probably don't need them just yet.

Since the OP seems to have found sunglass happiness, I'm piggybacking off this thread to ask if anyone who needs prescription sunglasses has found a frame that works especially well for them.  (Especially if you are a round-faced woman with high cheekbones and a fairly small nose.)
