At least the onside kick and ensuing TD drive made up for the halftime show!!!!

If that's your take, the whole game... the whole league should be shelved.
I thought the halftime show was okay.  Not my first pick, and they got off to a shaky start (not a Tommy fan) but it was pretty good.
The light show was good and they didn't have a bunch of 'dancers' out there.

Drugs might have helped out.....for both The Who and the viewers.....

Wow - Pete Townshend definitely showed the years. i though Roger Daltrey seemed alright, all things considered.

I'm not sure anybody will top Prince. That was the best ever, IMO.

Daltrey still has some good pipes all things considered but they were definitely looking geriatric.

I gotta go with U2 in 2002- post 9/11.

This is one of the odder posts I've read in quite some time... especially when you consider the fact that there is a thread discussing Super Bowl commercials, a 30-second spot which went for something like $2.5 million.

My mind keeps trying to calculate why you chose this thread to post this semi-rant in.

Daltrey was Joan Rivers-esque. His crows had their feet pulled, and his grey-d-locks had been tampered with.

Pete was old, fat, and, well, old and fat. And grey. Nice energy, but...c'mon, now.

Harmony was out of the question. Have they ever played together?!

The stage, though, was a highlight. They should have stayed with the wide angle shot....for...the entire time.  

That was nice. We were talking about that show - they had the names of the 9/11 victims scrolling on a screen behind the stage.

Yawn.

They should hire Prince to do the halftime show every year.  That was such a good show... 

The lasers looked freakin awesome, and Im shocked at all the Who haters. I really enjoyed the show, I was too  busy singing along I guess to notice that they were really that geriatric.

It was obvious the vocals were going to suck after about 30 secs..If you didn't like what was going on onstage, why did you watch?

The outrage - YOUR right to the halftime show YOU wanted to see wasn't there! And you had to stay and watch!!

What's odd to me: In the pregame interview, Pete said the medly was Roger's idea and he aquiesed to it. Now Roger said it was a bad idea? (it is IMHO)

It's an artifact of the venue. It is only 12minutes and it is a TV appearance, not a concert. Maybe if we called it that, the expectations would match the outcome.
