Subject: Are the uniforms too small?

There is a girl I work with who seems to tell me every day that what the olympians are wearing is just too small, and she doesn't like it.  Especially the track and field girls and the beach volleyball girls.

I appreciate their athletic bodies, and I think the small uniforms are functional for their sport...

What do you think?

I think we should go back to the uniforms they wore when the olympics first started.

Then she probably shouldn't work to become part of the US Olympic team. Then she wouldn't have to wear them.

I think it's more of a function over form thing. But the form is very nice, usually.

You do realize that then there wouldn't be any women to look at right? Surprised

He said uniforms, not gender exclusions.

Watching Beach Volleyball right now, of course I watch it for the sport, not to look at the ladies.

In beach volleyball, the women must wear bikinis and the men wear shorts and tank tops.

The regulations for the beach volleyball uniforms are set by FIVB, which is , of course, a bunch of old men.

Disagree. I've seen them wearing tights during the night games.

Special dispensation for chilly London weather. Seriously. Google it!

On a side note, I saw a photo essay about the hand signals the volleyball players use. At least that's how the presented it, but 90% of the pictures of the behind the back hand signals were close ups of tone female backsides in tiny bikini bottoms. Win!

The rule change had nothing to do with the weather in London.  Boycott beach volleyball?

I don't know how the female swimmers aren't popping out of the tops of their swim suits.  I don't think anyone with a b-cup or larger could wear one.

That being said...I was wondering why the long shorts?  I feel like I'm watching swimmers from the 1920's.

Brian Johnson: You wear tights?
Andrew Clark: No I don't wear tights. I wear the required uniform.
Brian Johnson: Tights.

I'm guessing it's probably because she couldn't pull off wearing them and therefore, they're too small for anyone to wear?

True but none of them are larger than a B.
