Subject: Tips - Little things you never think aboutFor all the more experienced triathletes - You all have tips or things that you know, that never occur to you to pass on. So c'mon, dredge your thoughts for those little things that you know but never think about. ![](https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/images/emoticons/wink.gif) 1. Drinking from water bottles - If you are new, it takes a bit of practice, but try to drink without sucking extra air. (Also challenging on the run ). All that extra air you swallow (especially in a longer race ) will end up producing gastric upsets and/or little "explosions" later on. 2. Lace locks - If you use these, cut your laces down. Nothing more annoying than having really long laces whapping against your legs or being stepped on in a race. 3. Looking on the bike - Learn to either peek around your shoulder without veering, and/or practice peeking underneath your arm straight back. Anyone else? John |
