Champion 5529 Nashville, TN | Subject: RE: Good Luck Nats Bound People! brutal day out there. sheer carnage on parts of the course. --the swim was straight UPstream. the fastest swimmers were coming out around 26-28. Mediocre swimmers took 35-45 minutes and others took nearly an hour. All that for 1500m Watching the earlier waves, it almost appeared as if people were standing still. it felt like swimming in an endless pool. --the bike was fast. Couple of good rollers but smooth. tons of good competition. --run took it out of you. it was hot (moderate for AL august heat). The run had 3 solid hills and after suffering through the long swim, it just beat you down. Saw most of everyone out there today. Everyone looked really good and finished strong. |
