Garmin Upload button missing??

The importing/uploading process has changed. We've added more sources. We now support Garmin, Timex, Polar, Training Peaks and Swimsense imports.  

To import data, click the "Upload" link next to "Graphs" in the training log header.  We're currently having some problems with .FIT devices like the Edge 500. We're working on it, shouldn't be too long.

Thanks I found it and also figured out that I had to update my "communicator" . Thanks again...still waiting for it to show on my log.

After selecting Garmin you should see a brief message that says "Searching for devices...".  This should go away and there should be a list of devices under "Select the device:".  The click the "List Activities" button and available workouts should be listed for you to upload.

If you don't see you Garmin device listed you may have to unplug and plug the device back into your computer then click the "Refresh Device List" button.

Have the upload done and the little green checky thing but I had already manually put in the data but Lap Data still is not showing on my log. ???

Thanks, CSharp. I had clicked LIST ACTIVITIES but didn't know I was waiting for something to happen, so I found my patience.

Workout showed up eventually, although the time of day is way off (says 2:39pm but I ran around 8:40am). Also, when I click Return to Training Log, it keeps taking me to December 1. Would love to have it default to take me back to today! I'm guessing this may be a work in progress and there are some glitches to iron out?

Chris, it may take up to 5 minutes before you log is updated. 

It has been a few hours and still no lap data. Maybe by putting it in myself first I messed it up??

Mine did get the information posted...so now I have 2 runs for the day one I did manually and the upload but I know I didn't run twice today and I am not quite that OCD about the miles this month total so it is allright.

I got my lap data.

When I clicked on 'Return to training log' it took me to December 1, in the view log mode. Wrong day, and I'd greatly prefer that it take me back to the edit training log mode so I can finish dealing with that training session.

Oh, could you make the 'Upload' button more distinct and obvious?

Alternative solution:  You are the fastest runner ever and managed to achieve time travel!

I suggest you put a notice or something saying "Use the Upload button above" or something where the old "upload from garmin" was, as my first reaction was to go hunting through my membership renewals thinking I'd somehow been expired, since that's one of the main features. There is no way I would have looked up top for the upload button until looking in here...

 Edit: Forgot to say, new upload rocks - finally upload multiple items etc! But does it do power...

Have you confirmed that your version of Communicator is up to date? It should be version 3.0.1.0

Unfortunately, not in this version. I'm thinking that if we have both kinds of functionality in the next version of the training logs, bulk upload and individual uploads, we'll include sport overrides in the individual version.

That sounds like a plan.  I know that for indoor training like spin classes I want different information than when I am outside on the bike.  Outside I want to know my speed, cadence, etc.  Inside I want my heart rate and time more than anything else.  I use Other instead of Running but I suspect the logic is the same.

You can setup the 305 with different screens so you have one screen that gives you your outside info while another gives you the spin class info.  You just hit the up or down arrow on the side to scroll between them.

I confirmed that I am using the most up to date version for a Mac.  Thoughts?
