Have my bike stuff on the couch to ride the rollers this afternoon.
I come downstairs to find an upside down cat ball snoring on my clothes.
So I went back up and got another set.

Is that what they mean by whipped?

I thought this thread was going to be about the run I just did. Or my dating.

Ha, cats love laundry. And yes, if you move them they go right back to sleep. You'll pay for it later, though, usually somewhere between 2 and 5am.

Gym bag in the background. Yesterday was sleeting and windy, this was not what I would call encouragement.

eta: yes, that is two cats.

Yep, feline interference. On my brick days, there's always a lag of about 20 minutes between the bike and run. I can only attribute about five minutes of it to lugging the bike up five flights of stairs (no elevator) and changing into running shorts/shoes. The other 15 minutes involves a cat seeking tummy rubs and general reassurance in the transition area by the door.

Never thought I would say this...but I miss our cat.  They do kind of grow on you when you are a round them.

My dog will lay on anything I put on the floor.  Workout clothes, lays on them.  Backpack, lays on it, yoga mat, lays on it, towel?  Lays on it.

It's kind of weird because some of it HAS to be less comfortable than just jumping on the couch or laying on the carpet.

I have to wait until I have put the dogs outside in the morning to do their business if I want to do crunches or push ups, or any floor exercises, really. It's hard to keep up the momentum when the dogs are trying to lick your face in the middle of exercising.

I have knocked my cat over at least 4 times this month when she walks behind me while I'm doing situps. She also loves to walk under me while I do planks.

It must be an animal thing, because like the others here, if I leave something laying out, the cat sleeps on it. If she really wants to claim it as hers she hacks up a hairball on it. Thanks kitty.

Try having the cat standing on your legs while you're on the swiss ball doing crunches with a weight behind your head. Mine does the running under you during pushups, or flops over onto your hands to get a belly rub during planks. My kids think it's hilarious, we now call the morning ritual catcercises.

Trainer stops, cat comes running.  Stretching your hamstrings on the ledge by the stairs?  Kitty jumps up on the ledge, walks down my leg to sit on my back...sigh.  Dogs jump on, over, under with tongues out when doing anything on the floor.  Same as previous poster, I have to wait until they are outside to do any foam rolling, etc.  I have pawprints tattooed on the back of my neck...it is symbolic for my pets walk all over me...

I felt bad - once my dog decided to try to get under my pedaling.  Bonked him square on the head doing 90 rpm with my shimano 105.

I get a bit nervous they might get tangled up in a wheel so I pretty much yell at them if they start to migrate close to the trainer.

That's so awesome!

My dogs come check to see if I'm done when my cadence slows down on the bike (or maybe it's a reduction in heavy breathing IDK) hoping I'll take one of them for a brick run. They both like to "help" when I'm using the foam roller.

Yup, being on the floor for stretching, rolling, sit-ups, etc is a dog magnet.  I have two smaller dogs, the smallest of the two is also the lickiest of the two and just doesn't take no for an answer.  So my answer to that is to pick her up and hold her to my chest as I do crunches: instant 14 lb. weight resistance added!  And the goofball actually seems to like it, crazy dog.  I'm also their human salt lick: post run or bike they head straight for my calves.  But I wouldn't trade them for the world!
