Just read this: http://shine.yahoo.com/shine-food/dunkin--donut-s-new-breakfast-san... what do you think - yummy or a belly ache? Would you order it?

Me - no. It seems like the donut would be too soft and get all squashed.

Sorry, the page you requested either doesn't exist or isn't available right now!

I guess it had an overage of sugar and cholesterol

I had a donut hamburger kind of thing from a food truck once.  It wasn't delicious.

One bite perhaps, but after that, I would think it would get sickening sweet and make me regret tasting it.

They should bread the whole thing and then deep fry it.  That would get my attention.

I would try it.  Gotta be a lot better than anything on a bagel.

I can see the appeal and how it would work.  Sweet offsetting the salty...  Nor for me though.

I sort if compare it to a Monte Cristo sandwich.  (It's a ham and turkey and swiss sandwich, dipped in batter, deep fried, dusted with powdered sugar and raspberry jam and is a miracle of a culinary creation.)

I never thought a deep friend meat sandwich with powdered sugar and jam would be good - and I was wrong.  I'm now on a mission to find the best one and order it whenever I see one on a menu.  It's going extinct I think, sadly.

Copy cat.  Paula Deen has her Krispy Creme Donut Burger in 2008.

And Voodoo has been combining donuts with bacon for ages (with great success, I might add!)

If you're ever near Columbus, IN, you'll need to stop by Smith's Row and have a try.   It was .... OUTSTANDING.

Blech! No love lost for bacon, or doughnuts. (Do like the smell of bacon frying, though, or a little bit in a good ceasar salad.) Still remember on the Bridge Pedal in Portland when they were handing out those Voodoo donuts with bacon--I actually gagged!

I know this isn't related to much but, around here there is a place that makes an awesome breakfast pizza. My favorite is biscuits and gravy pizza. Excellent! My wife made me some cupcakes once that were maple syrup bacon pancake flavored. They were excellent. Bacon pieces baked in then a cream cheese style frosting on top with bacon crumbs sprinkled on top as well!
