It wouldn't surprise me at all if this was the year that the Jets finally got tired of Rex Ryan's act. Granted he hasn't been entirely to blame, but the team has been even more of a circus than usual the last couple of years and they're clearly headed in the wrong direction.

Can I vote for Gary Kubiak?

I understand that Shanahan gets paid $7million in 2014 whether he coaches or not. Not sure about Garrett's contract. Which situation would be worse for a head coach, Washington or Dallas? In both places it's the owner that's the problem.

I"m voting Shanahan.  He's doing what he can to get out of there.  Depending on the outcome of Sun night Eagles/Dallas Garrett could be the clear winner here.  I think it depends on the outcome of the game and if Romo plays.  I caught myself thinking Romo and Garrett created his injury drama this week to cover their azzes.

Romo had surgery this morning and won't play again this season.

I can't wait to hear all the cowboys fans pining for Romo back after they see what his replacement will do. I stand by my Garrett pick.

IDK this has all the ingredients for a typical Phili failure.  Starting star (I use that term loosely) quaterback out, coach on the hot seat, Eagles already looking at the playoffs.  I am having bad vsions of Orton as the starter next year after an epic performance against the birds and leading them to the playoffs for the next few years.  Garrett stays around as the victory just proved it was Romo's failings in December and beyond that have been hurting the cowboys the last few years.

Now all I can hope for is the Eagles to prove me wrong.  Fingers crossed.

Not even remotely possible. Hate on Romo all you want, but he is still better than half of the starting QB's in the league. Orton is not a starting QB.

Maybe, maybe not.  I don't really know. However, how many playoff games has he won in 8/9 years?  What's his record in Dec to get them to the playoffs?

Dan Snyder has no regard for money, Shanny is working hard to get fired, and RG III is calling the shots. It all adds up to a coming change in Washington.

Although I admit I might smile a bit if Schiano goes.

According to this page http://www.footballdb.com/qb-records.html

only 13 active QB's have more than 1 playoff win. Hasselbeck, Vick, Sanchez and Grossman are no longer starters. That means only 9 starting QB's have more playoff wins than Romo. In addition Romo has a better playoff winning % than Matt Ryan, Matt Stafford, Andrew Luck and RG3 (admittedly a small sample size on some of them)

All I'm saying Cowboys fans is be careful what you wish for.

I agree. He has made so HORRIBLE game decisions this season to cost the Cowboys some games. I hate the Cowboys so I thought it was funny but if I were a Dallas fan I couldn't handle it.

But I still suck, right?

BTW: I read on the internet that the Saints are going to hire Lane Kiffen. I just wrote that and it's on the internet, so it's now true.

The stadium announcer is retiring after 44 seasons (445 games w/o a miss), so there may be that opening, Though I'm not sure Kiffen knows enough about football to do the job.

Shanahan will be fired by lunchtime on Monday 12/30. Three wins after making the postseason last year won't fly with Snyder.

This is amazing. Who has that shirt of an attention span? Worse than their tolerance for quarterbacks being measured after 4 games, then benched. No wonder the Clowns are a total dumpster fire.

It worked out for the Seahawks. Fired Jim Mora after 1 season and hired Pete Carroll. At the time I was indifferent to hiring Carroll but I was ecstatic they fired Mora. I had hoped they would fire him before Holmgren was officially gone.

As a Browns fan, I am not sure what to say. I liked Chud, even though I hated the hire at first. For all the acclaim that Horton got as the DC, the defense sure failed them down the stretch in key situations. But like the true moron I am I will be right there in April opening my wallet when my invoice comes around. I just love getting kicked in the balls 10 times a year.
