Are you all getting excited for St. Anthony's?

Where are you all staying?  Is it to early to plan some fun BT gatherings?

I just booked my flights to come down...can't wait 2+ weeks in FL on vacation with my family then staying an extra week to race.

We have always stayed in a bed and breakfast, but this year we are staying in the Marriott.  It's the same cost and only a block further away...with room service!!

I'm sure there will be many BT gatherings, there always are!!  It'll be a fun time, that's another for sure!!

No more thinking about workouts for me. This is the first year Barry is doing St. A's too- he's going to ROCK the bike hard. I don't know about the swim though. Starting this weekend- he's gotta get in the pool!

I'm very excited about being there this year! Not sure where I'm staying yet as I'm going with my TnT crew, but I'm sure that I'll be able to get away for a little bit to hang with you guys and meet you in person. Yeah!

If it is, I'm going to blame you.  It'll be my first tri with an ocean swim.

Anyone want to volunteer to be the Social Director and organize a get together on Saturday?

I'm going again - hoping for smoother waters this year! There are about 15 of us going from the North Atlanta Mulitsport club this year - should be fun!

I'm betting TTMA and Q will do so.  They will be JS, recovering from IMAZ.

Benton4, myself, and our two daughters are all racing and will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express at 2171 54th Avenue North in Saint Petersburg. From the looks of it on the map it is only a few minutes up the road off of I-275. Only a few miles as the crow flies. We made the reservations right after we registered on December 1st.

Figured the Holiday Inn Express would make us smarter at least...since it can't make me swim faster.

Michael

PS We are in for any kind of get together. We already have tentative plans to hang out with DarrellC, JoyfullySo, and a couple people from the North Atlanta Tri Club. We should be there Friday afternoon and stay through Monday afternoon.

I won't be participating this year (next year I will), but I've signed up to volunteer.  I'm looking forward to meeting and hanging with you all.  I've booked my hotel as well.... I'm staying at the Courtyard Marriott... got it from the St. A's website... its 15min from Vinoy Park... and $94 per night.  Can't wait!

Woohoo!  Finally booked my airline tickets.  I had to use FF miles because Rapid City is SO expensive to fly out of.  It would have cost me over $500.  Instead, I used up some FF miles and it cost me $10.

This should be a slightly cheaper trip for me than last year I think...splitting a room again (at a BnB five blocks from transition), splitting a rental for the bikies, and used FF tix.  Woohoo!

And YES, I'm getting excited!

Anyone renting a wetsuit for the race?  Where are you renting from and when do people usually rent a suit in relation to the race? A month before? week before?

I rented from www.wetsuitrental.com last year - I rented a full suit, but most people used a sleeveless (which I will be using this year). They sent me the suit over a month before the race to practice in.

Does anyone have an idea what the water temp is going to be. Im thinking of renting a wetsuit as well, but not sure which one. Not a big fan of the cold.
